Totally with Jake on hating money. I empathise as someone who wants to be creative - often in ways that aren’t possible to make money. There are a lot of people that simply aren’t compatable with traditional jobs. It simply isn’t fair that we are in a position where we have no choice but to sell our time and energy to coroporations just in order to stay alive. I think taking 50k is pretty fair, as it gives him the breathing room to pay off debts and sink his teeth into his actual passion. Anyone who has that opportunity would be stupid not to take it.

Personally, i understand kinda where Jake is coming from? I don't think it personally paints me with the best moral code for my reasons why, but those are just my reasons. Everyone has their own reasons for things. People put a lot of weight in our society over where money comes from, and while I'm not saying that that mindset is inherently wrong, it just.... doesn't always align with how reality works. What's moral doesn't always align with what's logical for the circumstances. And that logic is dependent on odds that afte rarely stacked in your favor without money. Being able to claim moral high ground means nothing when you don't have money so you and *your partner and family* get evicted, go hungry, get sick or hurt because you turned down "dirty money". Sometimes playing on the logic that you'll be better off with the money than without it no matter how you have to get it goes horribly, horribly wrong. I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that money doesn't talk, cuz it very much does. But we also live in a world where regular people don't have the even footing to be able to use their money to be ethical or express their morals without fucking someone (usually yourself) over in the process. There's no actual right decision for Jake to have made here in my opinion, and honestly THAT is the most frustrating and infuriating thing here with the whole mr beast situation. The only thing I've taken away is that money isn't gonna do *shit* to mend this situation, and yet somehow, yet a-fucking-gain, it's gonna be used as a solution despite it being how we got this problem in the first place.
