Kee is an unbelievable guitarist. His work on Prisoners in Paradise is second to none, my favourite Europe album by far.

Yeah, an awesome player who's been way underrated for years. Killer tone, amazing melodies, very polished technique... A true talent.

One of my favorite guitarists of all time. His work on Out of this world and Prisoners in paradise albums is amazing. Solos on 'More than meets the eye' and 'Superstitious' are just unbelievable! Ready or not is such a fun song and coast to coast might be in my top 10 ballads of all time. I can't wait to listen to all the new music by his solo project, easy action etc. Truly iconic guitarist for me and man, would a project with Rod Stewart be awesome!!

Kee Marcello is as amazing as artist how he is amazing as person! I am grateful for to have known his music in early age, because it literally saved me! Thanks for this amazing video. I am glad to see Kee again.

I've been obsessed about Kee's playing for a decade already, and I'm currently working on note-for-note transcriptions of Out Of This World and That Makes One solos. The latter shows a very different approach from Kee than the iconic OOTW solos. The solos on TMO are looser, rawer and full of fierce legato lines like on Let The Good Times Rock. I consider it interesting that in 1986, although still pretty unknown outside Sweden, he was the undisputed champion of legato playing, maybe excluding Holdsworth. While I can hear Allan on numbers such as Talk, Talk, Talk, Kee's off-kilter polymeter legato phrases and ideas are definitely his own. Then in 1988 he almost fully ditched legato except for a few choice bits (like on LTGTR) and emerged as the cleanest and most rhythmically consistent picker in the world, seemingly out of nowhere - I can't think of any recorded examples of Kee's signature picked scales before OOTW. To me, he's still unsurpassed in that regard. His REH lesson on rubato isn't the hardest thing in his phrasing, rather his innate rhythmic sense of beginning the scale runs before or after the one is still pretty hard for me to grasp. His style of playing should be taught in conservatories. It's almost unfair that a single player can excel in picking, legato, melody, phrasing, tone and even very advanced sweeping later on in his career. To me, he's the ultimate LEAD guitar player

Well put... It's a very interesting (and, to me, accurate) analysis of his amazing style.

I agree on everything!!! He's the guitar player that influenced me more than anyother. It's exactly what I call "my hero". Absolutely understimated if compared to most big names. And the thing that still drives me crazy is that he has an incredible baggage of experience and knowledge on jazz, fusion, blues, etc..all these influences made this poliedric guitar player with incredible skills and taste. He's the best!
