Respect justice katju for his truthful and unflinching response to the last question. And the students have to be appreciated for the choice of questions.

Any ordinary private college would have done a 1000 times higher standard interview than this. The questions where fine but lack of coordination lot of disturbance and an interview room which should have been better. This is not generally happens when interviewing such eminent personallities

the interviewing students were speechless. . did not expect such harsh comments from cj......so are so many other people . i would say that a person would go to usa but then scientific techonologies ideas etc will come back and benefit india...all these computers , internet, phones, cable tv ,printers suzuki cars, bikes etc .. the fruits come back... if we have a good exposure to economics, then a person is inclined to think differently.. currently,America is prosperous mainly because of the reserve currency status of the dollar and not exclusively due to iit students going and settling there. though there are good benefits for usa because of these students. think of the world as one country... do we criticize if a village boy goes and settles down in some far away city , be it the same country ? .a country is a geographical construction of politicians of which person has control over which area ...the world is one. however, this subsidized iit education , the money coming from the people, and the people did not give this VOLUNTARILY. it was forced as tax taken from people People will not give money if they are asked - "give money to pay iit students" ..they will say- " i have my own children to whom i dont know how to pay for education." . . the government ( politicians, bureaucrats ) , gave free to iit students..if criticizable , then first criticize the persons who forcefully got from people and give to others as they think fit

forget about students barging into the interview. talk about the problem he mentioned at the end of his interview. getting a subsidized education from the country and then serving another country for selfish reasons. I say whoever does it, the government should make them pay back the amount of money which was spent on their education.
