Hi from New Zealand, This why I like watching Josh, and the other moonshiners it depicts true American society. And one has to say it is, so interesting and funny. Live here in NZ is just as hard to make a living,. To put food on the table, roof over your head and kept the wolves from knocking on your door. Excellent real life look into American society.

I saw and meet Josh while at a weekend at Clay City, ky at the mountain park dragway a couple of fall seasons back. He was racing a gasser then. I really enjoyed the class and meeting Josh. He signed an autograph for my little boy and didn't care to talk to us for a few minutes. I'd like to see y'all there again. We didn't make it out much last year but be back on track this year. Like to know if y'all will be in the area this year. 'Keep On Shinin' and bangin gears on them bad machines!

Ashley we will be back at Clay City this year May 5th. We will be in Knoxville Tennessee July 9th. Will be in Lyons Indiana July 28th. We have 11 races this year but these are the ones closest to Ky. Hope to see you there.

Josh man I feel just like you do Drag Racing is VERY IMPORTANT,but it is all in how you drive. I have done it and won grant it I raced for trophies, but I won 5 trophies I gave my mom one for Mother's Day. She had NO idea I was racing at all. At the time I was living in Arkansas before I moved back to my hometown. I ain't proud of it,but none the less I am here. You are totally awesome and I like it that you are down to earth so to speak. That is what makes you even more awesome to people.

i like how Josh said, you need to drive the car, not just sit it in, hit a button and keep it straight down the track. I've always enjoyed watching the "money guys" race but this style of racing is true to its roots, with family and friends helping on you car, not money.

An old school race was a silty back road with lots of curves hills on one side creek on the other first one to the other town won the case of beer ,Then next year cars got faster bigger motors The other guy wanted your double pumper intake off that big block and he`s got a shiny finger nailed sweetheart that`s staring you down- And the race is on in the end most times ending up in a bar room twisting arms over a table but it was all in fun , Or you gave him the tires but ended up with his girl 27 years later she`s still with you and you won the best prize ever ----Josh you better clone cutie pie ..

In 1962 a big name in local racing in my town was Paul Contorno. He drove a white '55 chevy. It's name? White lightnin'. Just food for thought.

Love the SE gassers. Wish they were not so damn far away but one day I may own a gasser and have to travel down there. Hate when they say these new cars all drive em selves tho lol I dont have 2step or a button. But I do plan on a gasse in my near future as period correct as I can afford

Would love to have you come check us out Bryan. Sorry about them saying the new cars drive them self. That;s my fault, I ran pro mod for 19 years and by the time I parked it in 2013 I had rider above my name because the technology had made the car so easy to drive. The guy interviewing Josh is Mitch Stott 2003 pro mod IHRA world champ so he was involved in the pro mod wars and seen modern technology take over the sport also. Look forward to you checking out the Southeast Gassers in person one day.
