I am not scolding Murat for not speaking English, I am just advising him that if he wants to move on into this business of acting and become known beyond the borders of Turkey, he needs to start learning English. Look, he already became famous in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, also he was nominated for awards in Monte Carlo, Rome and now the Vatican, don't you think he ought to start taking himself seriously and realize that no just Turkey, but the world over is interested in him?

If you were curious about what Murat said, you could ask someone that speaks Turkish to translate here instead of scolding Murat for his lack of English skills. No one's perfect, you know. I mean I could write what he said here if you asked me. Despite what you think, there are ppl in Turkey who can speak English and we're kind enough to help when some one asks for our help. And I don't understand what Turkey's change of alphabet has anything to do with Murat's inability to speak English.

I don't hate Turks and I certainly don't hate Murat Yildirim; actually I LOVE him, he is the BEST I have seen so far, I am learning Turkish through watching his shows.Butt what we are saying is that the world knows by now, that if you want to move forward in this life, you must learn English. Whether we like it or not, English has become the #1 international languange. It has nothing to do with patriotism, it has to do with higher education.

I thought when Ataturk changed the Arabic alphabet to latin, he wanted Turkey to be Europpean; now almost 80 yrs later, Turkey is still Middle Eastern, except for Istanbul, and all all that trouble for nothing !

@nadiabilbassy not true. not every single. you could say most of them but one thing is for sure they are very proud of their culture and will promote it evrywhere they go. Halit (anwar) & Berguzar (Sherazade) from BinBir Gece speaks english; Sinan Tuzcu (Omer in sanawat adaya3) speaks english, Tuba does speak english also....

OMG!!! He doesnt speak English?! How come?! How did he understand the question and answered it in Turkish? I don't believe this; an Engineer by profession how come? I wish that somebody might have done the translation in English of this interview to understand what he was talking about his movies (especially about Asi) from him directly. Ataturk didn't change the Arabic alphabet to latin alphabet because he wanted Turkey to be more European, he changed it because he believed Latin alphabet was more suitable for the Turkish language.

You're so wrong! Beren Saat can speak Spanish and English. Tuba Büyüküstün and Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ can speak English. Hazal Kaya and Mehmet Günsür can spek Italian. Cansel Elçin and Fırat Çelik can speak French. Selma Ergeç and Meryem Uzerli can speak German. The list goes on and on... Our education system may not be perfect but your English isn't perfect, either!
