My advice to your OS. Nothing as such my friend. If you give exams in India you will be required to sail as an NCV officer after clearing your NCV ticket and with 18 months seatime as an NCV officer you can appear for 2MFG exams in India. If you had PCM (just pass) in your 12th, then you'd directly be able to give 2MFG after NCV writtens. So no need to give NCV Orals or sail as an NCV officer. Thats the only limitation. In retrospect, you can go to the UK and clear your tickets after 36 months directly but it works out to be much more expensive in the long run. As a UK officer you''ll end up spending atleast 40 lakhs INR in just getting your 3 licences. Since you're on Chemical tankers, I'd advise UK after you finish your seatime and hopefully before you are married or commited to things at home. The only difference is time. UK, if you clear in one go will be done in less than 11 months. I got mine in 11 months so that is definitely something which is possible. India takes you close to 2 years as a PCM student and over 5 years if you're lucky as a non PCM student. Always learn and strive to be the best version of yourself. All the best for the future.

Hi, don't wry if you go onboard you will get a sheet mentioning your duties onboard. Also there are regular drills and training in which all your doubts will be cleared. So pay proper attention when undergoing training and carry out all the drills as directed by your seniors.

Hi Srinu..There are no specific questions as such. Just be confident and answer whatever they ask you. They will generally ask you about your family background,hobbies, why do you want to join MN ,etc. So all the best and do well.

Hi Krishna Kumar... Question will be as per your rank onboard.Dnt wry questions will be simple. For ex what is your duty onboard, what do you check when are you on watch during cargo operations, if there is any emergency what will you do, if there is any leak or spill what will you do,etc. So don't wry be confident and answer the questions.If you don't know the answer just politely tell them that I don't know and will find it out asap. If i have any doubt i will ask before doing anything on my own and also I will carry out all my duties effectively and under the proper guidance of my seniors.
