President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine grants an interview as he concludes his visit to the Philippines on June 3, 2024.
The Ukrainian President stresses the significance of his visit to personally invite President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to attend the Summit on Peace in Ukraine that will be hosted by Switzerland within the month.
Currently, 107 nations, including the Philippines, signified their commitment to participate in the Peace Summit that will tackle three (3) major points, namely food security, nuclear security and humanitarian aid.
He discusses some of the agenda in his bilateral meeting with President Marcos Jr. such as sharing of Ukraine’s expertise in cybersecurity and digitization, humanitarian aid and what the Philippines can do to support his country, like sending of experts in posttraumatic mental health.
President Zelenskyy shares his viewpoint on the similarities of Ukraine’s experience with Russia and the challenges that the Philippines is facing in the West Philippine Sea.
