A 40min interview, giving Roy an opportunity to speak into the unity dynamics he observed amongst NZ churches, after visiting with 8 pastor's groups in 4 different provinces - including cities and towns.
Two key of his observations were (a) encouragements to recognise unity's goal is to move from relationship to the discovery of things we can do together (but not apart) in service to our communities. He explains again the type of vision that has worked in the UK for this, with churches uniting in a remarkable 1500 regions of the nation. (b) He suggests there are benefits to involving key church members in unity endeavours - which is not something he saw being done anywhere on his trip. This way there can be continuity to these efforts and to unity dynamics beyond the tenure of current pastors - noting dynamics in which pastors sometimes change quite often.
