Mega Drive was my first console! Thanks for the years SEGA! Sonic 1-3, Shining Force Serie, Super Hang-on, Outrun, Eco the Dolphin,Streets of Rage 2, Sunset Riders the NHL&FIFA games and many more games- it was a great first console for me (yes I had older siblings that owned NES,Gameboy and SNES etc but this was MY FIRST CONSOLE)

Thank you Tom for everything you did at the time. ♡ It's such a shame that all that work gone off the window in 1995 with all those troubles regarding the 32X and the Sega Saturn management in the US..

SEGA of America really did have a good understanding of what had to be done for the brand to encounter success there. We don't talk a lot about SEGA of Europe, but their support was also fantastic with many great initiatives, like translating adventure games into several languages, and the focus on the Master System as well (which is a fantastic console, and I would not have been introduced to SEGA if not for this machine). Thank you for giving me a great childhood of gaming !

Maybe part of it is nostalgia because I was a kid at the time, but Genesis era was, and still is, my favorite time to be a gamer. PS2 era was phenomenal also, but there was just something about that 16-bit 'console war' and two dedicated game companies in Sega and Nintendo bringing out the best in eachother.
@bryansteele832 Жыл бұрын
During the 16 bit era I had the SNES, and then after that I bought the Playstation 1 and that has been my primary console choice moving forward (Also have a 360, wii, and switch). But in the last 10-12 years I have become a pretty hardcore sega genesis fan I realized I really missed out on some great stuff.

DREAMCAST MINI? SONIC ADVENTURE 1-2 HD????
@quezcatol3 жыл бұрын
A dreamcast mini would be worth 80-100 dollar if they included Skies of Arcadia because of the dreamcast controller for the real retro feel!

@@quezcatol Yeah if the Mini didn't have a functioning VMU (or at least compatibility) it's not a real dreamcast mini... which would prolly make 'em more expensive LOL

Sonic for teens and college students. Not for kids. Oh boy, can't wait for Sonic fans to pretend not to hear that.
@dennj3 жыл бұрын
I am pretty sure plenty of sonic fans are aware of this, the issue is that over the years the franchise has lean one way or the other too harshly with no balance to who it caters for which should be everyone. The series shouldn't lean too dark and at the same front lean too kiddish, there has got to be a balance. Now another problem too could be what defines these styles what is considered too mature and too childish may have changed over the years, but that a whole different topic in itself
@Timberkin3 жыл бұрын
@@dennj I can promise you there are plenty of crazies who ignore these facts. Also no, it doesnt need some kind of dark/light balancing act. It needs both, in varying amounts. Some really dark, some not.
