Part 2: See... Louis gets shit for being into Armand, but Claudia gets praise for being "infatuated" with Santiago. He's worse than Lestat, and right now Santiago is more of a threat to them both, than even Armand is. Like... what?! "He's playing the long game" THANKYOU! Santiago is very obviously manipulating the hell out of Claudia. Louis knows it, doesn't like him. He's playing games right in Claudias' face, and she's eating it up and falling right into it, because she's so delusional about what actually going on. And sadly it's because she's so desperate for this, that's she's just not seeing it for what it really is. Me thinks getting that dress at the end is going to wake her up, hopefully. Louis sees it, clearly. That's why he's like 'nah, I'll pass'. "Maybe I should take my sister daughter and leave" I hate this. Why is NOBODY paying attention. First and foremost, Louis does NOT have agency over Claudia, and he should not. She is not a child anymore, daughter or sister. She is an adult. He does not have any right to make decisions for her, he does not have any right to force her to do anything, go anywhere or leave anywhere. ESPECIALLY after what Bruce did to her, and Lestat dragging her back from that train (if that did in fact happen). He is not, going to be just another Vampire who takes away her autonomy and freedom of choice. Nor should he. All he can do is try to get her to understand how much danger they're in, and convince her to leave. Which he's been trying to do since they first met the coven. And what has she done, completely disregarded and dismissed EVERYTHING he's said. She's insulted him, belittled him, mocked him used emotional manipulation, etc. Every time he tries to voice anything she shuts him down. Her choices are her own, her decisions are her own and he's doing exactly what he should be doing and respecting that because she's not a child, she's an adult. Don't act like you'll wouldn't be absolutely raging, if he snatched her up and forced her to leave. Or treated her like a child, like she had no choice in the matter. He's doing literally what he can, with what he has which is very little... to help and protect her. Her decisions are hers, her choices are hers and the responsibility of them and consequences of them are hers. She demanded and deserves to be treated and accepted as an adult and an equal, and he can not and will not turn around and treat her like a child or like an inferior. Who's subject to his decision. And why it seems he's being judged so harshly for NOT doing that to her, not doing what essentially both Bruce and Lestat did to her is so bizarre to me. Why he's being blamed for her choices is bizarre to me. Why he's getting sh*t for her decisions, is bizarre to me. If it were up to Louis, and if she gave a good godd*mn about what he has to say, at all. They wouldn't be f*ckin around with this coven to begin with. They'd've been gone. Her choices and wants are finn'a bite them BOTH in the ass, not his, HERS. "you didn't protect her" Okay, so he didn't just get is ass nearly beat to death, protecting her? He didn't get dragged by his jaw into the street, protecting her?? (if that actually happened). He didn't at least verbally fight Lestat, multiple times, protecting her. He didn't allow her to just leave, again in an attempt to protect her... He didn't allow her to poison his husband, and slit is own husbands throat protecting her (if that happened)... he didn't get shredded and choked up, protecting her? He isn't trying his damndest to put himself under/in the guillotine, protecting her. He didn't allow himself to be walked down a sewer pipeline, to just straight lay down and die, protecting her. What else do you think he did it all for? Why do you think he's even still here?? To say he FAILED to protect her, meaning he tried and failed, is one thing. But to say he didn't, at all. That's a whole other thing, and it's just not true. And anyone who's actually watching the show, knows it. Louis is broken. And he can't lie for sh*t. BUT she's been messing up too, she's spilling shit to Santiago. Or did we not notice. The story was that she was selling "chestnuts" just outside the train station, but she told Santiago it was "trinkets". So now Louis thinks chestnuts, she told them trinkets. She said Louis is from "just outside of" Chicago but where they're saying he's from is not just outside of Chicago. The story is that they were traveling across the US, on bikes, feeding at gas stations, etc. Yet in the wet room, with the rats, she talks about having a furnace "back home". So again, they're both f*cking up, they're both slipping BAD, not just Louis. And ultimately it doesn't matter that he "told" Armand, he been knew, since day one. Neither of them are strong enough mentally. This is Armand. He said she was "gifted" at blocking her thoughts, which not only means that he's clearly been their since day one. But it also doesn't mean he wasn't able to get in, just that he was most likely surprised that she could block it at all, being as young as she is. So whether he "broke" or not, doesn't matter, Armand already knew regardless. And of course he's going to say "no" about her having anything to do with it. Because surprise he's trying to protect her. And Armand knows the truth anyways, so it doesn't matter. He's probably seen it already from both of their minds at this point. He's Armand. "He's choosing another man, over Claudia" I hate this narrative, because no he's not. He has every right to have a companion, just like her. She can choose a whole ass coven, at the detriment to them both and no ones screaming 'she's choosing them over Louis'. Yet he can't even flirt with another person, without everyone equating it to he's choosing someone else "over" her. The only reason he's even still here, in Armands territory is HER. She's the one who wants so badly to be part of the coven, because HE'S NOT ENOUGH FOR HER. She's actively seeking others that are NOT Louis. So why isn't he getting the same outrage. She can have a whole coven of companions, but he can't even dare to have one. He's gay, he has every right to a companion/lover that's not her, because she can't be that for or to him. And if we've forgotten she used him to get rid of his lover, now what he should just be celibate and alone. While she gets everything she wants (or at least thinks she's getting). How does that make any sense. Why is that equated to him choosing someone over her, and why is she not given the same energy. She's going to have her own love interest this season, so I hope ya'll will be right back here when that happens, calling her out for choosing this other person over Louis. It''s only fair. If he can't have anyone without it meaning he's choosing someone over her, than she shouldn't be able to either. By that same logic 🤷🏽‍♀ Man, calling his care and love for Claudia a facade is just so wrong. You know you're wrong for that. He's crying blood tears at the mere thought that she can't dream, and you're calling his love for her a facade. He put his mate/lover/companion/lover in a literal box in a garbage not actually knowing that he'd survive it, for her. But his love for her is a facade. Come off it, just come off it. He was telling Armand he was just going to leave, now that he knows Claudia is an official member, she's been accepted into the coven, he thinks Armand believes that just he killed Lestat. He's been convinced by Claudia herself that this is where she belongs, he's being led to believe that as long as they think he's the one who killed Lestat, that she'll be safe. So he's thinking he'll just leave, that means leave Armand as well... He's here for Claudia not Armand. He came for Claudia not Armand, he's only dealing with this coven for Claudia not Armand. He's definitely going to be staying for Armand now, especially now that the underlying options are stay or die Armand made that clear. But she picked the coven did she not. Completely regardless of his life or safety... I mean what does he have now, he has no interest in joining this coven, no matter the pressure Armands putting on him. So what does he have now, going forward. Claudia chose the coven, so what are his choices. I'm just so tired of people treating his character like he's simply an accessory to her character. He doesn't exist JUST for her, his life should not revolve just around her. Something that Claudia herself is saying as well. He is not simply a prop for her to use, something to hold up her character story. This is Interview with the Vampire, he's literally THE Vampire, it's his story. He existed before her, he exists as his own character now, and he'll exist after her. He is not simply here for her. Everything about him and his character IS NOT and should not be about her. Talking about he should have tried to "drag" her away. I'm done. I tried to hang in there, I tried to wait for someone to start speaking some sense... But I'm done. Saying that Louis should have "dragged" this woman anywhere, what in the actual f*ck. Hasn't she been through enough, you really asking ANOTHER MAN to do some shit to her, against her will. REALLY?! Just, done.

Writing this comment as I watch/listen: If Louis is an "idiot" then so is Claudia. She should be getting the same energy. Seeing as how she's no better than any of them (other than Bruce, Bruce can get f*cked). And she's actually quite a bit worse, in some ways. So if Louis is an "idiot" than so is she. Also, the thing with Armand and Daniel is. Without spoilers, for those who haven't read the books, there's a reason why Armand hasn't killed or changed him. But the reason how he was able to skirt the Vampire Laws until now, about Daniel, is; he wiped his memory. The reason why the rules are not to reveal your Vampire nature to a mortal unless you intend to kill them or turn them, is to protect against the fear of discovery. Which would put a Vampire and/or Vampires and their covens, in danger from mortals. Armand found a loophole to that rule, by getting rid of, covering and replacing Daniels memories. Lets just say, this 2nd time around Daniel is not surviving, especially because they're actively breaking another major rule by allowing him to record all of this... The actual, main rule/laws Armand himself is actively breaking, is allowing Louis to still be alive. Especially as a coven master. "jilted lover" definitely is NOT what Armand is. Obsessive, sycophantic, psychopathic stalker... maybe. What is it called when someone is so obsessed with someone else, and wants to be with them so bad that they create an entire relationship, in their head??... But regardless, I could be wrong but I personally noted that Armand himself just offered up the fanfiction about Lestat, and purposely while he knew Louis was still sleeping. To me, the entire story seemed to be a manipulation, to just further have Daniel believing the narrative he wants to push. About both Lestat and himself. "Ya'll can't believe sh*t he say!!" THANKYOU 🙌🏽 Out of ALL of them (including eventually Lestat) he's probably the one you *shouldn't* believe, the most. The hallucination isn't Lestat though, it's Louis' subconscious. And it most likely was just warning him about/against Armand. Most clearly a truth that Louis already knows, just doesn't want to face. I too was like "Nooo Louis come on, please tell us what you've realized or picked up on" but poor Louis was panicking bad, unraveling and Armand was putting way too much pressure on him. "I'll let you tell me when you're ready" my ass. Louis is not "oblivious" he's more aware, then apparently anyone is giving him credit for. He's just struggling to face the reality of certain things, knowing something and accepting it are two different things. Because he's already breaking and deteriorating under the weight of everything else. He definitely does not think Armand is perfect anything If anything Louis is the one facing the reality of this whole situation better then Claudia is. He's fully aware of the danger and the threat, he's fully aware of the massive risk they're taking, etc. Hence why he keeps trying to get Claudia to understand, that they should LEAVE. He keeps trying to get her to understand that they're in danger here, that it's not what it seems. She's the one calling this coven "beautiful", she's the one saying "it's great here" and "I love it here" saying that these are her people and that she's accepted here... Louis is the one purposely keeping his distance, and rightfully so. And about Armand, he's clearly very aware. He just has a type, and like they pointed out, he's seeking the "WRONG" kind of love. And what I mean by that is he clearly sees and senses the danger and threat that is Armand, and it is just attracting him more. He definitely doesn't trust him, or them, clearly. He's definitely afraid, but think about it. Alot of that is most like reminding him of Lestat, unfortunately. Louis' definitely not a perfect person, he's toxic too. But he misses Lestat, he wants Lestat. And it's what he knows, so it's most likely what he's comfortable with. Unfortunately, the truth of the matter is people who have been in abusive situations/relationships tend to gravitate back to what they're familiar with, and sometimes repeat the same cycles of abuse in new relationships. He's not oblivious, he's just attracted to red flags, essentially. He's not a stable character, and he shouldn't be. None of them are. You wanna talk about who's "oblivious", who's ignoring all warning signs, and red flags, who's completely disregarding the danger and threat, whos not living in reality. Because she alone thinks she knows better, she thinks she has the corner on manipulation and controlling a situation to go her way... that's Claudia. He wants to get the hell out of dodge, she's the one refusing to. And he's not going to abandon her or forcing her to do anything she doesn't want to do. He actually sees this coven for what it is, and wants nothing to do with it, and thinks that Claudia shouldn't either. But he doesn't have a right to control her or make decisions for her. "Louis wanna be kept, he wanna be a kept lady" Thankyou! Because YES. "Lestat came in here like a city girl" 🤣👌🏽 "Armand has been trying to pain Lestat as the villain. To Daniel and to Louis" Thankyou 🙌🏽 -- Phew this is getting WAY too long, onto Part 2 (in a separate comment. If KZbin doesn't eat it)

They’re pulling from all the books, so keep that in mind. Daniel is important to Armand. And, in case it wasn’t clear by Armand’s fan fiction about Lestat, Amrand is obsessed with Lestat. Just wanted to add that love y’alls commentary. I watch it back with my family, it’s part of our thing now❤
