The BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award in Music and Opera has gone in this fifteenth edition to Thomas Adès for “the extraordinary international reach of his work, which has made him one of the most acclaimed musicians of our time,” in the words of the award committee.

Wow he has a really nice speaking voice. I could definitely see myself listening to him read the contents of a phone book aloud and enjoy every minute of it. Lol
