I talked to him roughly 6 months after his 21st birthday. At the time, I didn't know that who had called my office when I worked as a Nurse Recruiter but I figured out 3 years ago that it was him I was speaking and mildly joking with. That was almost 20 years ago. Grant it, he was way too young for me then but when I think of even the friendship that we could have had over the past 20 years that was stolen from us, my blood boils.
