It's really terrible how mistreated these actors were, and how the fans were affected by it. Power Rangers wasn't the same after Jason, Zack, and Trini left due to behind the scenes politics, and I can't help but think back and wonder if Power Rangers could've evolved into something much greater had they done things the right way and properly took care of the talent. On another note, I wish Walter would've talked about Space Cases lol. I loved that show too.

I agree, heck with all of the changes that occurred in season 2 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, I barely recognized the show anymore. Come season three, I saw two episodes and called it quits. That said, I am glad that Austin St. John came back for Power Rangers Zeo, Turbo: A Power Rangers movie and his two guest appearances in Power Rangers: Wildforce and Power Rangers: Beast Morphers. Also I am glad that Walter Jones came back to do voice work for the monsters in the later seasons. Also, I am really happy that Walter is part of the cast of the movie The Order, which he co-stars with Austin St. John and David Yost in addition to many other Power Rangers alumni.

I used to like the S2 characters (Adam, Aisha, Rocky) more as a child, but I recently rewatched S1, and I realized Jason and Zack were more interesting, and their characterisation had more depth. Adam and Rocky are more generic (but I do love Adam too though, but I feel Zack is the better character).

walter was really my introduction to black actors as a teen. he basically dominated the shows that i watched. PowerRangers and Space cases. He helped destroy the stereotype that they had, which even as a young kid/teen i never understood why there was this massive divide between actors skin color.. its an art... who cares if you have purple skin and look like a giant dinosaur. If you have the talent you deserve everything you get. Now a lot of people can go on stage or go in front of a camera and put it all out there. Thank you walter

I'm glad he talked a little bit about The Shield, that was a great show. Up until then, I hadn't seen him in anything since Power Rangers when I was a kid, then I saw him on it and was like "It's Zack, the Black Ranger!".

Update: Sony Pictures has currently halted development of Ghostbusters: Ecto Force. Last I knew the show was not officially canceled, both Dan Aykroyd and Ivan Reitman mentioned that they both had talks with several cable tv stations and a few streaming services about picking up the show, however the underperformance of the 2016 reboot caused the suits at Sony to get cold feet over doing more projects with the property. Thankfully, Ghostbusters: Afterlife the new movie from Ivan Reitman's son Jason looks like it will give the property the shot in the arm it needs to get more projects off the ground like Ecto Force. In the meantime I picked up a copy of the 2003 video game Freedom Fighters for the Nintendo Gamecube to play. Walter Jones voices one of the characters in the game, I am looking forward to hearing his voice when I play it.

As one of many who grew up watching the original five, it is heartbreaking that there will never be a movie with the first cast of MMPR. I seriously wonder how the movie would have gone if Saban would have done the right thing and made the show union. They weren't asking to be paid millions, they just wanted to be able to do the show and not have to decide whether or not they could make their rent for the month. It wasn't a lot to ask. But instead, Saban brands decided to stay cheap, and the actors and fans had to take the hit for it.

because its obvious to anybody whos taken a basic psychology coarse that he knows it was a really bad decision that even today leaves a bitter taste. its a good thing he has a natural humble nature though because he doesnt bash anybody or blame others and he keeps his head up high. thats really great and mature. you have to accept and live with the decisions you make and just move forward. this is a true ranger quality and is very admirable.

He still looks good twenty years later and I like his modesty. Its sad that things did not work out with the show but he had every reason for wanting more. The hours were demanding, the actors were sometimes in dangerous situations (Amy Jo Johnson mentioned how her and David Yost caught on fire while taping one episode) and the pay was not all worth it. He felt like they should of been getting compensated more.

"Jason David Frank will always be the face of the Power Ranger franchise. Amy Jo Johnson left because of the low pay. $600.00 a week. Do the math and that's $2400.00 a month times 12, which would be $28,800.00 a year" ^@GATCHAMANforever, which is even less considering all the expendeture throughout the year when one gets paid monthly by whomever. That surely wasn't exactly all the money earned that was quietly resting in a large Swiss bank account somewhere's either. As i'm sure the actors all had bills and houses to paid for etc. At the end of the year nobody was sitting comfortably on $28,8000.00 a year they weren't, not with all the living expenses they'd have to naturally take out of their paycheques and whatnot. So they'd be fortunate enough if they got or made any lucky extra bonuses while doing Power Rangers (public appearances, autograph signings, children shows, promotional events etc.) that also provided for them in the short term before they left the show afterwards.

Exactly what i was getting at when i made my comments as well months ago. So i really don't know why people hear of $28,8000.00 a year and think it just sits there and they were rich somehow on that amount of money (hah) only? As i'm sure it got eaten up rather quickly on living expenses and whatnot.
