@@msarenthlei3105 The movement for reunification of the Zo people under ‘MIZO’ was countered by the Paites and Thadous of manipur. They felt that the term,‘Mizo’ was coined by the Lushai or Duhlian community for absorbing the whole Zo group to the Lushai community. Besides, the Thadous and Paites were apprehensive of the domination of the Lushai community. Therefore, they put forward the idea of Khul Union. Accordingly, the Khul Union was formed in the early 1950s which however died down soon as a result of breaking awasy of Paites and Hmars from the Union of the question of langauge. The Thadous claiming themselves to be the majority wanted the thadou langauge to be the link language of the Union(I think this will be same as the previous mizo movement ). Opposing this idea, the Hmars and Paite broke away from the Union in the late 1956. so they then form again Zomi but Hmar withdrawn from it, also the Zomi launched Chin tribe Languages as the official Zomi langauge, so, from my point of view if we continue like this the tribe which the zomi cliams to be under their dominion will again refuse the langauge, there will be no final result...Now the mizo had taken up this step again and we must listen to it, for me even if it meant to abolish the name zomi and kuki we should listen to our Brother(s) Mizo....we should learned from our ancestors mistake,and should not follow their wrong way...Even if we don't like Mizo we could still used Only ZO/ZOU
