Hello! In your video (Topanga Canyon) at 6:15 you can see a car from the USSR, Lada 2101. Can you tell us something about it? How did he get there?

Hello back:) The car you're referring to is actually a French car, a Simca. The black car, correct? Money was tight then, and my Dad bought it used someplace in the very early 60s and loved it! My parents had it for years and it got quite a bit of attention because there weren't any others around that we were aware of. But from whom or where he bought it, I don't know......

Hi! I mean the other one. White car with round headlights. There was such a model in Italy Fiat-124 (1966) Around 1969, the USSR bought a patent for its production. Since 1970, they were produced in the Soviet Union, under the name Lada 2101. The bumper on your car looks more like a Soviet version.

@@dmitrys5641 Hi Dmitry, You have a good eye for cars! I remembered we had a Fiat and verified it with my Mom, and yes indeed it was a Fiat. And she thinks it was the 124 model. A stickshift of course. Interesting about the USSR buying a patent for its production. I believe that clip in the video was from about 1968-69.

@@laurienivals Hi! I was born in 69, so I'm interested in the topic of the 60s. As children, we live in our own world, separate from the real world:) Here is a detailed description of the differences:www.drive2.ru/b/473433215319671353?page=4
