When your dad said, “you became my little Shannon again” and your mom was crying. I was sobbbbbinggg idk why but this felt healing for me to watch. I dont have these type of parents and to see it happen on screen to someone I’ve watched for over 10 years? It was really cool. Thanks for having them on ❤

"I used to say 'your voice sounds like a truck driver'" pleaseee ahaha! Your mom is so unknowingly funny. And your dad seems a very thoughtful person. They're both lovely and my gooood, at the end I was in tears. Also, Shan I've been following you for 10 years and I know it's stupid but having you in Venice, my city, made me feel a bit emotional. You've really helped me so much throughout the years, so thank you 💛

When your dad told what happened with the two girls in Italy and Ireland, I cried with joy. Also when these things happen so far away from where you live, where you grow up etc..isn't it crazy? I mean Shannon you really have helped people from all over the world. And in your parents' eyes there is so much pride, they are really two beautiful people, full of respect and love. I don't know, this episode filled my heart, I needed it ❤

I am also a gay girl, I am from Colombia and my city is very conservative. I really came out of the closet because my relationship with my first girlfriend ended and I was so depressed that I had to ask them for help, I needed it. For my parents to accept that I am gay was not very easy, but I feel very happy that I had the courage to say it, because a few months later my mother passed away. I don't think I would have been able to get over not telling them before she left. And a big part of my courage to come out came from finding you on the internet and learning from you. I never write comments on KZbin videos, but listening to this episode with your parents was really beautiful, it helped me heal. Thank you so much for what you do and thank you so much to your parents for opening their hearts and come out on your podcast ❤

I love that your sister called your mother out “would it kill ya to admit you like to hang out with dad?” lol they’re each others person, more than anything their friendship is beautiful. Takes time and they put in the work forsure. I’ve been following you since the twitch days. Ive never commented and never out myself out there. I’ve loved this episode the most. You are a product of your parents. Deb might not be as nurturing, but as we’ve come to discover it’s her upbringing. At the same time, she’s a softy, tearing up every few minutes. She is nurturing of course but as a professional haha shes a pediatric nurse! (I am too) But we can be a little colder than some think, we kinda have to be. Your dad is super sensitive and nurturing, he’s adorable. Reminds me so much of my dad! The beautiful balance they create in your lives is a glowing example of opposites attracting! Thank you so so so much to your parents for putting themselves out there and being vulnerable. I appreciate this, them, and you! Happy almost pride from Long Island NY! Now THIS is Living!!! 🏳️‍🌈👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩 And congrats to your sister! Are u going to be an aunt soon?? 😂❤😊

Hi Shannon! I finished watching the episode yesterday, and you're probably past looking at comments on this episode by now. Anyhoo, just wanted to say I don't know why your parents thought this episode wouldn't be popular, because this one has jumped to the top of my list of favorite episodes of Exes and O's. It was heartwarming, funny, and delightful. Also, Fun fact: your mom is now 10x cooler to me because I am also a Registered Nurse! I don't work in Peds (it takes a special kind of nurse to do peds because I could never), I work in medical surgical care, but when your mom said she was a nurse I squealed with joy. It always happens when I see or meet someone who is a nurse! Okay, enough of that, LOL. This long comment is just basically to say your parents seem like really cool people, and I'm glad you have them in your life. And watching you and your mom cry made me cry too, because everything that your mom and dad said about you was so sweet. When your dad talked about seeing his Shannon come back once you came out and started living your life how you wanted, my heart melted. And I agree with your mom, you definitely have a tough exterior, but seem so sweet and soft on the inside. I know it's not easy being vulnerable to a world where everyone has an opinion that isn't always so nice, but I appreciate you. I turned 40 this year, but after MANY years of feeling attraction to women (and trying to brush it off), last year was the first time in my life that I finally accepted that I am queer, and you have no idea the impact your content has had on my life. When I accepted that I am bisexual last year, I struggled (I still am honestly) with the fact that I may face being shunned by the queer community for not being queer enough, while being shunned by the straight community for being queer. I worry that I won't be welcomed fully by the community, but I am so thankful you're so gentle and kind to bisexual members of the community. You made me feel welcome. I am proud to be a friend of Dorothy, and a supporter of Shannon Beveridge. "Love you so much!"

Hi Shannon, Haven't listened yet but wanted to share a message of gratitude. I discovered you at the beginning of the year when I realised I was just gay and not bi, it was really hard for me to digest. I've been listening to your experience as it helped me understand my journey a lot. I'm really happy to have discovered your content because it made it so much easier for me :) Among all your videos, 'A letter from my mom to you' helped me immensely. I really needed to hear that from a mom and have listened to it several times, It was like receiving a hug through words and I love your mom for sharing these beautiful words. Yesterday, I finally came out to my mom at 27 after finally accepting myself. That was the scariest shit I've ever done. It's too soon to tell now but I think It will be okay. She needs time to process and I was prepared for that when I heard your mom's point of view. so Thank you a lot and big hugs to Madame Beveridge. Anyway, I'm really grateful and happy to follow what you do. You and your mom are part of my own journey and I just wanted to say thank you ☺ I wish you the best in your life and hope I can meet you all one day to say a real thank you in real life hehe Nadia After watching: your parents are so sweet! We can see your dad is very caring throughout the whole video making sure you're good haha and your mom doesn't need to be introduced anymore! loved the interview hehe

My favorite podcast by FARRR!!!! I laughed, I cried, I related! My parents were married 20 years before divorce and they were bad together but great parents and now best friends that call each other everyday! Love love love both of your parents! Love the way Dad talks & his views, he needs his own podcast! And mom was just adorable ❤
