I don't know that the wheel of time series should have been made darker or "grittier". The plenty of that in the books and the inclusion of playfulness and made the series better. GoT really shouldn't be a model for WoT, IMO.

I think it's been nice to see some of the playfullness in the show, they're doing a really nice balance.

But The wheel of time books maybe should be a model for the series... Not the actors fualt but the series is HORRIBLE. Nothing much left of the important parts. I'll never understand how people can fails so bad at making a TV series when the source material is already there and loved for decades.

Not the actors fault but the series is HORRIBLE. Nothing much left of the important parts in the book(s). They basically character assasinated Matt, Egwayne and Rand from the start, not to mention they made Abel Cauthon a drunk- when he is basically one of the best fighters (the other one being Rands Dad Tam) of the whole town and helps save the town later. I'll never understand how people can fails so bad at making a TV series when the source material is already there and loved for decades.
