Ibrahim Traore is a leader of an insurgent military coup that lead to the ouster of the former president of BF. The US withdrew $160 million in aid in response to the violent coup and military dictatorship. Opportunist or hero, Traore, the intrim president of BF calls Russia his primary ally. So he is indeed “standing up” to America. This video is primarily a propaganda piece, but in any case, I wish the people of BF a great future. Hopefully Traore will act in the tradition of General George Washington who without a fuss stepped down after his term of office to be replaced by John Adams the 2nd duly elected President of the US.
