It's crazy they went with white flooring where it gets dirty but I like a better design on the paddles which on mine has developed a crack in the joint. I polished and taped the ends of the floor slats for my piece of mind. They polish them by hand at the factory and some of slats might be still bit sharp, FYI

I've used it three times and the white floor always looks dirty. I think grey or blue floor would have been better. The end of the plastic slats feel sharp and I think I'm going to put duck tape on the ends. Thanks for commenting and watching!

Found one on the side of the road in good condition idk if I should keep if sell .. you think it’s worth keeping in the pop up just to have ?
@tmwhatif8630 Жыл бұрын
In my opinion, it is not worth the risk of being out on the water in a boat you are unsure of. Hope this helps.

@@tmwhatif8630 no no that’s what I meant I know the boat is in good condition i’m more asking do you think it’s worth holding onto just for the heck of it or if it’s worth selling it to make some free profit ?
@tmwhatif8630 Жыл бұрын
If you could sell it and make some money on it then that would be great! If I stop using my boat I will sell it with the sail kit. @@Matspyropowerhouse

Any advice on how to not under or over inflate the keel?
@tmwhatif86302 жыл бұрын
When I inflate the keel in my Mariner 3, when the pump starts to show resistance then I'm comfortable that it is full. Keep in mind that the keel will be under more or less pressure depending on the people/gear in the boat. The sides of the boat are critical to staying afloat, the keel's purpose is to help the boat plane better. I would rather have it under inflated then over inflated. Hope this helps
@floridavideosbyjeffreyscot69102 жыл бұрын
@@tmwhatif8630 Ty . I was thinking it would probably be better to be under than over…I will try that . I use an electric pump for the sides and the Manuel for the keel . 👍🏻

Hi. Can u please recommend repair kit like glue and spare material

On Amazon, search: intex mariner 3 repair kit. I use 3m 4000 UV resistant adhesive sealant. Both work. Hope this helps!

Also get Boston valves.this is an off brand raft.you will need plumbers tape and like I said.basic directions she will be worth the $
@tmwhatif86303 жыл бұрын
How long have you had your Intex Mariner 3? The Intex Mariner 3 comes with Boston valves. If you haven't owned the boat that long and have this many problems it has a 90 day warranty. I should have a 1 year warranty. If you don't mind, please comment back on when you bought it, what you use it for and how much it gets used. Thanks!

How heavy do you think it is without the floor and other accessories?
@tmwhatif86307 ай бұрын
I would say that without the floor the raft is about 40 pounds.

Great video thanks for sharing, so tempted to buy a Mariner 3 but I'd like to make a plywood floor to place on top of the slatted floor.
@tmwhatif86305 ай бұрын
I replaced the slats with foam to make it lighter. A plywood floor would make it more stable for standing. Good boat for customizing considering it's an inflatable.
@markweatherall74375 ай бұрын
Replacing the slatted floor with foam is a fantastic idea, can I ask what type of foam? Do you mean pipe insulation foam or pool noodle type foam or other? I'm always interested in other ideas before purchasing the Mariner 3 end of this month.
@markweatherall74375 ай бұрын
Lighter the better I say. I might use lengths of pvc pipe to sit the 12mm plywood on but il know more once I inflate the keel etc
@tmwhatif86305 ай бұрын
@@markweatherall7437 I used pool noodle but if I used flat foam it would have made for a less bulky floor.

I remember a few years ago these were considerable cheaper. I ended up buying a Kayak and a cheaper intex seahawk instead. But yeah both the Mariner 3 and 4 are about $100 more expensive then just a few years ago.

I had an inflatable boat a few years ago with the same material and I patched a leak with 3M 4000. Worked great. These boats are not high pressure that you would find in a a West Marine inflatable dingy that has 5 layers. The Intex Mariner 3 has 3 layers and less pressure but still a tough boat. I've been using it and not being kind to it and no problems yet.
