This album reminds me of days from my childhood, running around the woods behind my house. The natural beauty and innocence of those times I will always cherish - making forts out of sticks and leaves, mucking around in thigh-deep mud, climbing trees, and watching the bats in the night sky, amidst the stars. This music brings back nostalgia of those times and makes me want to get outside and do that again, though now I'm an adult. And so I shall. Thanks for the great music, Ulvesang.

... you mean now that thousands of people are dying because of illness and idiots not following proper healthy and hygiene because it takes too much effort? On the way back from the shop the other day I saw a couple hundred people on the beach, all within arms distance of someone or multiple someones. I really don't know how it's just so hard for people to rap their heads around the idea that their presence might kill someone. Despite doing nothing I've felt exhausted and spent half the day sleep for the last week, and I'm almost 80% sure I got corvid-19 off the shopkeep from the corner store where I buy my milk. It sucks, and I hate everyone. Now I have to wear a facemask, cover up and take every precaution when I go out so that I don't spread it or whatever it is I've caught to someone else and potentially kill them. It pisses me off seeing all these people go about their days not giving a shit while I'm freaking out in the corner and thinking about all the people I might kill by coughing in the wrong direction or sweating on the wrong thing. And I'm a sociopath, or at least I thought I was; and so did my psychiatrist. So why do I feel like the only person who gives a shit?

I first listened to this album when eating an Arby's sandwich. It was by far the worst sandwich I have ever eaten. So bad in fact, that I almost threw up. You see, I am a foodie. I love all kinds of food. Never before have I found a food I couldn't somewhat partially enjoy or at the very least stomach. That being said... I am no longer scared of hell. I don't think anything could be as bad or god forbid even worse than that Arby's sandwich. So in conclusion, please, if you are going to listen to this album, under ABSOLUTELY no circumstances should you do so whilst eating an Arby's sandwich. It has been a year since I had that sandwich and only now have I built up the courage to once again enter this domain of the internet and listen to this album. Ever since I discovered it back in 2023 through YT reccomendations, it has been consistently amazing on every re-listen of it. One of my favorite albums of all time.
@R00t4704 жыл бұрын
I just had this thought come to mind and I don't know why but I want to write it here. From when I first started playing this video - when the music kicked in - I was sent back to some forgotten/slow fading memories. I closed my eyes, and I was in my family car. A blue Kia Sedona, and we were driving up to the mountains, and I looked out the window to enjoy the view that was breathtaking. I looked up to the sky, and back down to my legs; I was in my old highschool campus. I can see the large silver lined buildings shine in the morning sun, as the overcast faintly covers everything around me. The day is calm, and the smell of sweet flowers come in through the gentle breeze. For some reason I just fall to the floor in the middle of campus, and I accept it for some reason. I get this odd feeling that I'm not at school anymore, but with my ex boyfriend - my first love even - at a park; enjoying the serene environment that surrounds us. I can still feel his hands on me as he caresses my arm, and the feeling of security. I remember his eyes, the eyes that don't have one exact color, always brown and green; sometimes gold. I sit up, and I'm no longer the park with my boyfriend, but I'm at the beach with my family. I can still see the planes that fly over us, and the sound of the trains that pass by, along with the sounds of laughter and the sight of children playing with their parents. I just start crying, and there's rain falling around me. I open my eyes to seeing my boyfriend rush over to me with a worried expression stamped on his face. I guess it was when I was having a really bad panic attack. His body envelopes mine to help reassure me that I'm not alone, that he'll always be there when I need him; like my own personal Superman. I stand up, and open my eyes to see him on the floor. That was when he tried to abusive me, that was when I retaliated. He lost when I slammed a rotted peach onto the side of his head, and smashed the seed a bit to knock him out. I remember my body aching from the bruises he painted on me. He didn't look so great either. I fall to my knees, and I look up from the floor to the sky and see that I'm with my friends at the other highschool I transferred to. That's all I'll say, the rest is too personal or I actually already remembered most of it already.

Every now and then I can hear 3, and even up to 4 different notes all being played at the same time and I guess it's just another expression of how we are all unique and beautiful in our own ways but it's the ways that we play together that create a whole new sound that is even warmer and stronger. I listen to a lot of music in this genre, anything that brings out the folksoul and connects me to my tribal roots, but Ulvesang is 'une coche au dessus' as we say here in the Queeblands. The bar is set by Ulvesang in other words--although Black Hill and Silent Island as well as Nebelung's Palengenesis also kicks it up a notch, there is no better dark folk than this. Simply amazing.
