I love INTJ, INTP, ENTJ, and ENTP females because they’re smart, pretty, strong, and independent. I also love how serious and mature they tend to be. They’re also unique and rare gems. I say all of this as an ENTJ male.

Since INTJs don't have the benefit of Si or Ti to help us figure out how we formulated our theories, we have to use Te and Se to test them to see if they're true. I think part of the reason I have difficulty with conversations initially is because introductory questions often lack specificity. I can't figure what the "right" reference frame to adopt would be so I have trouble coming up with an answer.
@libraryofthemind7 жыл бұрын
lol! I enjoyed your comment! I'm an ENFP I sometimes miss the "right" reference frame to adopt during introductory questions but instead of sitting back and thinking about it.. I usually just talk without thinking at all and just hope my verbal-intuitive-reflexes kick in to hit the "right" reference frame... I've caught myself many times mid-sentence or post-conversation realizing I was responding or talking in the "wrong" reference frame OR I notice the other person was responding to the "wrong" frame and see their lack of understanding or the gap between two people's understanding of an interaction or situation. Actually, most the time, I begin a sentence, and mid sentence, I change the ending of the sentence to suit the reference frame that I've only noticed just after launching my first word. Surprisingly my sentences mostly come out right in context, sometimes profoundly in context, despite starting without any context at all. lol... This makes me wonder if I'm even the one that's really speaking or is it my unconscious mind... Anyway I hope you're having a nice day!

Ashwin P this is so true and then you get confused with the specifics on what your talking about because you want to be sure so you ask the person again and you already have in mind the right answer but you want to be sure on what your talking about in order to respond and have it make sense and purpose

Smiley intjs :) i thought i was the only smiley intj. I was very confused about typing myself for being smiley and having soft looking exterior. That started recently( early 20's). I was very stereotypical intj till i was about 18 but recently i doubt my personality type as infj, intp or even infp sometimes.

Explain then that the feeling is a set of internal outcomes that for you is treating the details of the event like a black box. You've collected data coming out but did not or do not have the capacity to collect data going in. You understand that is not the best method but would challenge his or her cognitive ability to reverse engineer the process. Especially if they do have a solid data set of the event in question. Your job at that point is to breakdown your feelings into simple forms first then build up to the complex. Accept that they are likely not going to relate or find those feelings relevant or acceptable to the situation. The objective is not the feelings but for them to deduce how you got there. Dear not try to be right since you dont have sufficient data. This is a quest for mutual benefit. - INTJ that has learned to activate other functions.

to female INTJ...i am also female INTJ & yeah have exactly same thing like you. like i will arrive at some result about something but then later totally forget why i thought that (the details of how i got there). but i do know that if i concluded something at one point then i can count on it bc i am sure i had a good & logical basis to do so at the time, otherwise i would not conclude it. So i've generally learned to trust the result even if i don't remember why & that has served well. (& sometimes later i'll start to remember more details of why i thought something)

I am an Ni dominant but I recall details of experiences that struck me on an emotional level. Otherwise, not really. I usually dismiss my theories on many things because they spring out of nowhere and naturally, people want explanations. Also, I don't know if it's just me but I find small talk harder to do than deep talk. I would find conversations about the weather harder to do than conversations about feelings. I have a lot of hunches that I confirm to be true before sharing it with anyone. I am also the type of person who prefers to focus on one thing instead of considering multiple possibilities. I also base my decision-making on intuition, which has something to do with the subconscious patterns that I observe.

Conceptualizing of theories is spot on!!! This is why I struggle presenting cases in therapy. I know the concept and the underlying issues but it would be hard to tell people how I got there. This frustrates my Supervisor. It’s also difficult to communicate details that he as a Sensor wants but I keep communicating broad concepts. This has caused him respond to me in a condescending manner and took others telling me that he was being this way before I was able to see it. Now looking at the pattern of his response I can calculate what I say in real time to better respond and stand up for myself. Before I could not respond in real time because I didn’t know what was happening.

Ni seem to me to rely heavily on the subconscious, which takes in all the details of our conscious perception and crunches the data to then spit it back into our conscious mind. It does this as a constant flow, like a dance of data back and forth.

I hate it when I come to an interpersonal conclusion and someone asks me to explain what happened to make me think it of the person. I really have to think about it in order to give an example, but I am also rarely wrong in my reading of people's traits and intentions. I despise essays for this same inability to know specifically where I got a piece of information from. I just synthesise it all together and produce something. It's infuriating, especially when communicating with sensors, as I can't give them concrete examples.

There is a weird struggle between my functions. I think I have a hard time incorporating them and making them work together because apparently I am more of a turbulent INTJ type. My mind almost never rests and tries to optimize all the time. And if I feel comfortable for too long I start to think I am missing something and get paranoid that this specific puzzle piece is gonna get me in the long run. This weirdly happens when my Fi and SE are at a high, and less when Ni and Te are active and working dominantly as they should. But even with the Ni and Te dominating my persona can be tricky, the Te logic would tell me to , for example, socialize with this boss and interact with them, but Ni knows this person is not someone I would work with well or this person is not truthful towards me so it would reject the interaction. And then I find out that I was right, this person was screwing me over but maybe if I tried to suck up to them like Te said to do I would have gotten a better deal. Its super specific what I am saying , its just what I am going through right now. its also very noisy around me and hard to conceptualize my next step, I also kinda hate that it takes time to recover from this type of situations, oh well. And I am sometimes not sure if knowing what people want to do or their intentions gets me more screwed over or if it actually helps me buff their blows in the long run. An I really running a contingency plan, or i am activating their bad intentions by bringing them out in the open? or in this case distancing myself from this person who was using me. Because you can only anticipate for so long, and coping mechanisms run slowly for INTJ. Blocking blows takes time for us and once people find an opening they usually use it to hurt you if they don't have a personal connection to you. So, to distance from dickish people in power or not to distance ? Always a dilemma for us, and why we work best alone.

INTJ -INTJ I don't know. I don't really agree on the uses of the INTJ cognitive functions discussed . With me when NI is triggered, SE, SI, TI and TE are also and triggered. After some time processing introvertedly these events happening in the moment, I feel the urge to communicate my response to these triggers directly to an individual whom I've concluded without a doubt to be the initiator of the triggers awakened in me with a Judging statement incorporated. Without any hesitation whatsoever, I can be very sure whom to connect with to say what I think about the triggers

So I've been typed as an INTJ but I don't agree with half these things their talking about that are INTJ...either that or I'm not an INTJ at all (though I really think I am) or I'm an odd ball INTJ. See...going back to them discussing memories I have pretty darn good recall on memories. Though a lot of them are pulling out a photo album. Vague feelings linked to Gif like picture/memories. my earliest memories goes back to when I was around 1 year old and include the layout of the house and my nursery I lived in at the time, while only a few are of particular events. I seem to tend to remember layout of spaces I've been too and the feelings associated with that visit to that particular space, more than actual events. That's how memories work for me... Going onto the topic of conversation I can be awkward yes. I hate small talk and if someone tries to engage me in small talk I will both get bored VERY quickly and also not know or want to keep the conversation going. If someone gets me engage in a topic like politics, religion, history, science I could talk to them for hours discussing the various topics in depth...but small talk bores me SO MUCH!

Infj from my experience are more openly sensitive and reactive to things on the surface. If you tell them something they will react even just with facial expression. They are also more concerned with how people feel in a situation where’s intj is concerned with the overall truth and justice of the matter

People's functions develop differently. Then there's the effect of the nurture aspect of life. Also, INTJ's 8th function (the function we admire greatly in our Supervisor type) is Fe. They usually reach a stage where they try to cultivate what they see as a more open and compassionate disposition - which is not fake at all and takes lots of time to reach that stage. They can will look and converse in a more warm and friendly as a result, while maintaining that dreamy yet sturdy and honest INTJness. It's tapping into the shadow/dark side - basically, a form of self-administered psychotherapy. Very healthy to do. So... A warm INTJ is a developing/developed INTJ. -INTP

Morella Your comment has me feeling a lot better about my own recent development. I’d been struggling if opening myself up more was just a facade to acting how I internally really admire in a person. Like a battle between wondering if I’m just playing the part or integrating it naturally into my personality. Glad to know it’s viewed more as healthy than self-deprecating. You’re doing a justice for all us INTJs in need of validation for our own self-improvement! Thank you.
