I remember it like it was yesterday. Funk Fellaz (or how I like to call them: FIAT FREESTYLE TEAM lmao) absolutely did NOT DESERVE to be in the finals that year. When they were announced Spax had to calm down the whole crowd, because everyone was so upset that even some lighters and bottles were thrown. The incident was cut off, but you can notice through the battle nearly no one is cheering for them. Politics were blatantly obvious. Crews and spectators who came from all over the world felt betrayed and lost a lot of trust in BOTY. edit: I forgot to add that the entering of Funk Fellaz was a reshot and the crowd was motivated to make noise after what happened.
