Nailed it - why was Marchand benched? Marchand did a penalty shot earlier this season. Once again, Swayman put himself in front of the team. He had the puck on his stick, could have sat on it and let the team reset. Or, he had five teammates out there on the ice to set up a play What does he do? He tries to get a goalie goal in front of the Ullmark family. Swayman stopped playing. He does that often. No disrespect to joe. He's been there a long time. If he was head coach material, we would have seen him come up before Monty. Never take any Tkachuck for granted My biggest problem with internet trolls that have never laced up, is there constantly underestimating opponents, and expecting far too much from their own players. I want to know where Marchand was? 🐀

While I agree that the end of the game was something that Sway probably could haven handled better, without him, it ends in regulation. He put himself in front of the team, but he also put the team on his back in the previous two games

@ITDBruins good he stops pucks. That's his job. But an elite goalie does far more than that. Today a goal went in on Joonas over goalie confusion and miscommunication. Korpisalo let's his teammates clean up in front of the net, Jeremy doesn't. It appears that Joonas left the puck for Elias to clean up and he didn't. Because they don't with Jeremy. Too inconsistent between two different goalies. Going for a goalie goal at that point in this particular game? that's Jeremy! It's his job to stop pucks. Not to show off in front of the Ullmarks trying goalie goals. This is the Bruins system. They rely on their goalie to save games. With so many newbies in berryville is coming and going, that's going to be the job of the Boston goalie. It has to be.
