Into The Eruption - Fagradalsfjall July 2021 - Iceland 4k Drone

A short summary of my third visit at the eruption site. This time I was lucky enough to go with my new drone to capture the volcano from the sky. The eruptions happen every 10-15 minutes, so the volcano is currently behaving like a lava geysir. It was such an incredible experience to see something so powerful in real life. Enjoy the hypnotizing view of the flowing lava!

Excellently shot film. Deserves a lot more views, capturing both the escape of lava from the weakening north wall of the crater as well as the beautiful pooling of lava in Meradalir

Overall, the best recent drone video I've seen. The stationary cameras provided by the government no longer show the crater or the flow of lava on the plateau to the immediate east of the crater wall, and your video provided a lot of answers to a lot of questions. The drama of this volcano continues, with the next big story being when and where will lava begin to exit Meradalir. Nobody has been to the far northeast corner of the value to show what is happening there. It's obviously quite a hike to get there.

@@leonardogrillo88 I'm curious about one thing. Looking at Google Maps, there appears to be a road running in a north-south orientation not too far from the northeast corner of Meradalir. For all I know, maybe it's just a goat path, and it probably is a narrow dirt road, but it sure looks like a much smaller hike to that corner if that apparent road could be used as the approach. There may not be a need to park down by the ocean and hike all that way.

Thanks a lot! This was shot on the 10th of July. I think right now the crater collapsed much more. I can't wait to go back and see how it changed.
