Many of you say; “I wish I was born in the future!” But you must realize, In the past, People dreamed about what the future would be like. Automatic cars, flying machines, etc. They said; “I wish I was born in the future!” We are that future. They created us. We are here, because of them. Without them, we wouldn’t exist. We would be gone. But they exist. And we do too. Which means, we can also make someone else exist. That someone else, is the future. We shape the future. All of us.

The young cadet stood at the edge of the abyss, gazing into the starry void. His breath grew sharp, and he took a step back turning to face Corporal Reece. "I can't do it sir." He said, removing his flight pack. Corporal Reece chuckled "Oh? and why is that?" "It's too big." Reece put a hand on the young man's shoulder. "What you see there? That's only a pocket of the universe. Infinite worlds, forming infinite solar systems, part of infinite galaxies, stretching out, forming the vast cosmos." "I don't think-" Reece cut him off. "Then don't." Reece bent down, to better look at the young pilot in training in the eye. "Don't think. Do." With that, Reece dove from the platform, breaking free of the artificial gravity, soaring into the inky blackness that was space, his flight pack igniting, blazing a comet trail behind him. That cadet grew to become the United Terran's greatest commander in the War against the Xerrn, Commander Brogan... Don't think. Do.

Millions of years ago, our ancestors probably stumbled upon a forest fire, they probably said "This has to be the power of Gods! We will never be able to harness this raging flame!" And look at what we did, we bent fire to our will and used it to ascend us. Later someone walking through the forest saw a bird and said, "I wish I could fly, too bad humans can't accomplish that feat." And in the future the Wright brothers flew. We kept breaking our limits, we achieved the unachievable. But, why do we do this? Why do we seek to accomplish, to explore, create, destroy, and learn? Why are we never satisfied with what we know? With what we achieved? The answer is simple, purpose. We seek purpose in a world of purposelessness. The other living things, animals, plants, etc. Do not have a drive to achieve, to learn. They only live on to survive. But us humans, we have something they don't, the ability to create our own purpose other than survival. We survive to live, to achieve, to learn. And what did this tremendous amount of ambition award us with? Again, the answer is simple.... Godhood.

@@kittyawn5317 You can’t If you think it’s impossible. The purpose I’ve given myself is that one day I will be able to fly to space. And not just our solar system but beyond. I think that cracking the light speed barrier is also possible just not with our current understanding of physics.

if you ever think to yourself - “oh, i’ll never be alive in a future like this. It’ll never happen” The opportunity is there for you to create this future. Read. Study. Imagine. Our technology as evolved due to brilliant minds who worked hard. Steve Jobs, Einstein, Nikola Tesla. Even Elon Musk. Our future is quickly being created in front of our eyes- and it’s up to you to work hard and add to it, only if you put your mind and imagination to it .

if i may - this is whole lot of bulls. jobs died, einstein died tesla died they did not have happy life. success and so called modern life kills you. enjoy your life - what you have. if u want more you deserve more but do not think that all those who gave humanity sth new had happy life. you would not want to pass what some of them passed. live and let others live.

Into the Void. A very peculiar sentence. In a literal sense, it means into nothingness, into emptiness. But what happens when we, as self aware beings, are plunged into total darkness? We are left with only ourselves, only our thoughts. We are left with the demons that shroud our existence, that cling to each step like a shadow. When we step into the void, we only have two options: To fight and overcome those demons that haunt of dreams, or succumb to the gnawing agony of the insecurities they bring. Fight. Overcome. Conquer the demons, cast your light over the shadows. Your perseverance shall become a beacon. Don't lose faith in yourself.
