In many interviews across the years, Trent always seems to point out his unwillingness to make 'another album' that sounds like his previous work. He knows people clamor for that, and he has never really capitulated. To his credit, he has evolved his music for 20 years and I have been fortunate enough to continue listening to it. As I have matured, so too has Trent's music.

I love Trents sincerity and honesty, both in his music and interviews. This is part of why his music is so darn good, when he's inspired. He inspires me. Its 2019 and ive just got a massive kick out of listening to Broken again! (And in annoying my bitch housemate with its raw and loud sound and energy! Played it nice and loud! About ten years ago or so, I locked myself away in a house near the ocean and I tried to... I said I was trying to write music, some of which would end up on Fragile. But what I was really doing... was trying to kill myself. The whole time I was away, by myself, I managed to write one song... which is this song. So when I play it, I feel pretty weird about it, because it takes me back to a pretty dark and awful time in my life. Is weird to think how different things are now. I'm still alive, haven't died yet. I'm afraid to go back to that place because it feels kinda haunted to me. But I'm gonna go back, and I'm gonna get married there. Thank you Trent.

I used to wait til my parents were out and blast the AATCHB live DVD on their good sound system, those were the days. I was at that live show where he said steal away and steal some more, what an awesome moment that was. Enjoy the beer, sir.

NIN is in my top 3 favorite of all time. But there are months, maybe even years where I don't listen to them. You have to be in a certain place emotionally to listen to them, often when I'm down or depressed. But there are times when life is good, and I'm happy and I just want to hear some NIN. They will always be on my phone/ipod/computer, and I'll always find a time to listen to them.

I've been a NIN fan since I was in junior high, when I was first introduced to Trent's music. I can honestly say today that NIN is still #1 in my book and I love anything he puts out. I'm a HUGE fan and love everything, ranging from NIN material, HTDA, movie scores, side projects, etc. I want to thank you for putting this together. I thought I had heard every interview with Trent in existence, but I heard so much new material in this. The way you put it together is amazing. I never knew "La Mer" and "I'm Looking Forward To Joining You, Finally" were written with that mindset and it almost made me tear up, since I love both of those songs. My mindset will be completely different from now on when I heard them and I appreciate them that much more, seeing what Trent's life was during that time. I knew it was rough, but I didn't know it was at that level. Now I know why he mentioned during a live show that "The Fragile" was probably the saddest album he recorded. Thank you so much for this!!

As a fellow human being that struggles with Attention Deficit Disorder, I'd bet my last penny on Trent having it along with possibly OCD. I feel for him as I know how hard it can be dealing with it and just trying to concentrate can become a lifelong battle with those of us that do have it and have either not been diagnosed and or been misdiagnosed. I'm just happy he takes the time to produce some of the best music of his generation.

Beautiful artist like Trent Renznor make us realize in life you can't have the light without the dark. Trent exposing himself to his peers (world for that matter) makes us more human and understanding of each other. That we all suffer and heal going through life, but we don't do it a lone. He’s been through a lot but still consistently put out great music. We can thank David Bowie for helping him clean up and mature. 3 decades later he’s still producing quality stuff. A real musical genius. Great videos here, thanks.

Less a documentary and more a string of previously done interviews..which is fine, just call it what it is. Trent rocks

This is a great compilation! I bought my first synth in 1981, and music is still my obsession. Few artists have changed attitudes towards electronic music as much as Trent has. Kraftwerk did. DePeche Mode did too. But NIN...I can't describe how I've related to the music over the years. It covers the same pains I've experienced (or wanted to possibly), and conjures up those same fears even when I re-listen today. Almost like a long-forgotten but familiar scent can send me back sometimes. And he is so spot on on so many topics in his interviews it's insane. His honesty is refreshing.

its interesting how a long of great songs come out sadness and depression during the youth years, there is also a lot of great songs from other artists that came out of happiness

I've been almost absentmindedly repeating this video over and over as I've been creating art in my sketchbook. I just... always felt the need to keep starting it over to fully comprehend everything he was saying. Between focusing on my own art/creation and his; it's hard to find the middle place. I feel I'll keep repeating this for all time before I can find that balance. His voice does calm me and bring energy to my own work.

I have never heard someone talk as frankly as Trent without coming off as arrogant. It's neat watching him explain his process. It's like he knows how to chanel this stuff into a great album.. And he is aware of that. Not to be a dick, but to make sure he puts out good music. Very admirable. For how long I've been a fan I've seen very little interview stuff like this.

Sometimes I sit and consider what body part/s that I might be willing to lose to be able to see them in the 90's. Just incase some entity with great power could bend the rules of space and time, but required some piece of human flesh. I just want to be prepared, is what I'm saying.

The part where Trent says that he might've subcounsciously stolen a great song he made (29:00) really spoke to me. As someone who's been trying to write songs and get into album crafting for the past couple of years, it's been a recurring thought I just recently openly spoke about with my significant other. I of course cannot compare myself to an actual artist like Trent, who on top of that has pressure from record labels, fans and artist partners to put out new material, but I'm glad I'm not alone in those artistic worries. He's simply a big inspiration for me in many ways, like he's for many others too.

I've loved NIN the majority of my life. Coming to love them through my older sister who introduced it to me. I've never seen NIN in concert but it is a life goal of mine. I've always known the music was so deeply intimate and personal to Trent which I think is why it resonates the way that it does. In a lot of ways he has been like an enigma to me because I've experienced him only through albums but this documentary was so amazing to see, it's as if I've known him all along, because I have. His music is his soul and my soul recognizes it. I go through phases where I listen to him heavily and periods of my life i don't listen at all but the music is always there and it is just as resonating today as yesterday. Thank you Trent for your creations, for your sacrifices and for sharing the depths of yourself to the world. We see you and we feel you.

Thank goodness Trent wasn't concerned with what others thought, because where his head was exactly where he needed to be...and it was all very beautiful and amazing on my side listening to it all. It was apparently a learning experience for him. Beautiful. Love Trent...always have & love where he's gone & has been going. Still amazes me every time

Trent Reznor. An absolute gift to me. In many ways. I’m forever thankful for his introduction into my life with “Pretty Hate Machine” Since then, after thinking about it, it seems Nine Inch Nails has been a pretty big part of my life since then. Not just as a regular rotation in my cd changer or songs in my playlists but like backround music to life at times. Not that his music follows me, but it’s been an effortless and interesting ride, so to speak, to follow the career of one of the worlds most valuable songwriters to ever exist. Nothing held back. From rage to sadness, pointing out some of what’s really wretched and disgusting as well as promoting self awareness and the ability to exist and rise above whatever is keeping an individual in their cage. Kind of. Anyway, much love. I too got goose bumps watching this.
