As Marc commented, part of the problem is that there are many different kinds of 3G/ 4G pitches. Nobody settled on what a (non-grass) football pitch should be made of so certain boots/ studs might not suit all of them.
@inunesi1047Ай бұрын
@@BunchOfAmateurs there are boots made for artificial grass but there isn’t enough use out of them because only 2-4 teams in most divisions use them, so you’ll need two pairs of boots to use for the season or take the risk of injury. That’s where the problem is, astro trainers are your safest bet but no one at your standard would use them in a game 😂😂

Recommend getting AG specific boots for the team - wearing FG/studs will always end up in injury on these pitches with limbs getting stuck in the ground
@Sam-nr8wu2 ай бұрын
They all wear AG mate. The 4g is just a harsher material that doesn’t give way the same way grass does hence the injuries.

25:00 Funny you should say those tackles (professional fouls) should be a penalty. It’s a long forgotten fact that the instant red card for fouls where the player is through on goal (which sees players making genuine attempts to get the ball being red carded), that law was introduced in the 90’s in an effort to combat the “professional foul” exactly the sort of foul this was. But for some reason it has never been used for what it was supposed to be for and instead players still just get yellow cards for actual professional fouls. So in theory, and the intention when the law was introduced, this foul would have been a red card if the law was ever used for what it was initially intended. It’s a bit like the back pass to the keeper. That was introduced because in the 80’s teams like Liverpool would play the ball back to the keeper to waste time. But that is rarely punished, which in a way shows how one law isn’t punished for back passes the keeper picks up that aren’t intended to waste time (Bradford City should have got a free kick for a blatant one this weekend), yet the “professional foul” law still targets the genuine attempt for the ball but doesn’t penalise those the law was intended for when it was introduced. Those two laws of football are my biggest bugbears. With me constantly saying “but we already have a law to combat professional fouls” but unfortunately they added the preventing a goal scoring opportunity which has since been lost in translation by referee decision makers. And instead it lead to that meaning any 1 on 1 situation which mostly results in a goalkeeper being sent off, which defeats the whole professional fouls issue because a professional fouls is designed to prevent a 1 on 1 with the keeper 🤦🏼♂️
