This is a wonderful surprise. King's Academy productions are always a welcome treat with outstanding performances. The "company" has always shown they are prepared to be adventurous in their programming and here we have Sondheim at his most demanding. Congratulations King's Academy once again, and looking forward to the rest of the show. And while it's a little unfair to single out one performer, it's great to see the remarkable talent of Aubee Billie's name being used to identify the particular cast.

Brava - Maddie's version of Little Red is truly one of my all time favorites...and to know how young she is in this role! I almost feel like this is not only daunting from the technical standpoint, but it's so topical when you're that young...I hope all the kids here actually took the lessons to heart, and keep chasing their dreams - knowing that nothing comes easy, and if it does... there will be a hefty cost. Because making it in the arts isn't easy, but there's no substitute for talent...and all of these kids have it in spades. They'll be making waves soon enough - *I* wish!

Notice the difference between a really good high-school performer (the Baker) and a preternatural, undeniable star (Red). She just seems like she's living the role instead of performing it and makes not just sensible choices, but funny and original and surprising ones.

You nail what I've been trying to articulate here - Red and the Baker's Wife and Aubee Billie are all three I'm hoping big things for...they all feel so powerful in their roles here! This red is very genuinely like...maybe top 2? Maybe 3? I found an opera production of this all set in a fantastical library, and they have a stellar cast too - but they weren't a HIGH SCHOOL production, so this production really catapults things to another level once you realize how god-tier these young people are! This is Sondheim at some of his most demanding...and given that Red is my favorite character, I can be picky about those playing her. Maddie nails the look, the personality... and the high notes! She's so fun and believable.

Hi, I asked this question a couple months ago. They said that the ownership of The Light in the Piazza and Titanic recently changed and unfortunately the new owner has rescinded their permission to post either of the shows. I don't think they will repost the videos unless they have permission and the rights
