It’s surprising how differently Akutagawa and Atsushi see Dazai. Atsushi sees Dazai as an amazing mentor who would never hurt him. Akutagawa sees Dazai as his “ mentor “ but was abused by him. It was almost the same abuse that Atsushi faced in the orphanage

⁠​⁠@@luvsonne ​​⁠If Atsushi found out, he wouldn’t do anything major. Yes, he’d feel bad for Akutagawa but that would be about it since Dazai is his mentor, the person who saved his life. Everything Atsushi stands for is second chances. Dazai’s abuse of Akutagawa was when they were both in the port mafia which lead to Akutagawa doing the same to Kyouka with the same mindset as Dazai which subjected both of them to change. (Which they did change.)

Both was borderline torture (and in Atsushi case his trauma was torture, he only lived due to his ability) but the thing is that i believe that, even if Atsushi knows, he'll have a hard time even making that connection or something lol

tbh, being frank, they aren’t really- yes the cast is young but what they go through in anime isn’t the hero’s fault, either blame the hero commission for later seasons, the kids themselves for going in reckless situations after being told otherwise(yes they were heroic, but they did it when the heroes told them to not do so), or the villains + they are teaching them, not making them work, the work aspect is still the areas above, and the work they do make the kids do is always supervised by other heroes as training(again, for later seasons, it’s the hero commission’s command, not the hero’s) sorry for yapping and ruining the fun of the comment, i did audibly giggle reading this but still (i get that this is likely a joke, and it’s on me)
