I filmed the event last year and explained it to you with a Wikipedia link, Dutch tradition. But this week certainly amazed with how very little my fellow countrymen know or have heard of Sint-Nicolaas and the Black Piet, the amazing assistent of Sint-Nicolaas? This event is televised each year with his arrival in the Netherlands on his steamboat and 2.3 million people were glued to their screens, most watched program of the day!
