The best use of RSI is to see when price puts in a higher higher and the RSI puts in a lower high… This is a bearish divergence and on the weekly signals a major top.

Overbought is a term used to teach new traders that's when you sell but it usually means momentum is on your side, of which, the follow through comes thereafter. ex. A higher high etc. I also use it see divergences.

RSI is really only somewhat useful for intraday trading, and it's meant to be used along other indicators, to build better sentiment/conviction prior to buying/selling. It's basically completely worthless for anything else, incl. BTC (outside of day-to-day trading).
