In this video tour of 'Stephanie Metz: InTouch' you'll get a visual sense of visiting the exhibition as you follow the camera through the gallery full of 'Holdables', where a visitor demonstrates some of the creative ways one can interact with the sculptures.
'Holdables' are stitched industrial felt sculptures filled with lightweight materials. There are 47 unique forms, ranging from furniture-sized to hand-held. Part of the exhibition 'Stephanie Metz: InTouch,' the surrealist forms are movable, stackable, and even wearable. The geometric/organic sculptures invite visitors to engage, explore, and perform.
'Stephanie Metz: InTouch' opened at the de Saisset Museum at Santa Clara University in January 2020. Visitors were invited to physically interact with the sculptural objects. The show closed two months early in March due to campus-wide COVID-19 precautions and County Shelter in Place Orders. When the world is ready again, InTouch will find its next venue.
