Amen 💯 🙏🏿 Me and my wife just left a church as a youth minister because we were told to teach the teens that everyone should be able to speak in tongues as evidence of the Holy Spirit Baptism. Even went on to say if they don’t speak in tongues they either lack faith or have unforgiveness in their life.

I normally ask for prayers for myself to keep me sober and clean but tonight I'm going to ask that you guys pray for this guy that I do not know I left a message under a KZbin video about praying for me and this guy wrote some very ungodly things and I think that we should all pray for him that he finds the spirit of God because God is the only way. What a gift of imparting God's word. Dr Stanley's teachings have always helped my understanding of God's word no matter the subject. This is an awesome series and this particular one was a delight. I was seeking to understand the Spirit better a few days ago, and I said a short prayer to tell God the same thing and I was led to this series. I gave thanks when I happened upon it because I know that He heard and He answered me. Thank you Lord🙌🏿

Wow , I needed to hear this. Thank you Lord! Im Apostolic, my current and previous pastor are saying how you need to speak in tongues in order to have the Holy Spirit. Thank you Dr. Charles Stanley for making me understand that , that is a gift but not for everyone one. I was feeling inadequate because people around me were speaking in other tongues but I never have. I do have a desire to but I can now relax knowing it may not necessarily be my gift. I can now take so much focus off that and find my spiritual gift. A weight has been taken off my shoulders from this message.

Sharon I just want to tell you that Dr Stanley was just a mere human being, he might have a gift of teaching but that doesn’t give him authority to decide what’s from God and not. Acts 2:1-13: The Holy Spirit descends upon the apostles and they speak in tongues. 1 Corinthians 14:2: "For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. Also you receive the Holy Sprit first and then tongues follow.
