Would make videos on move day, make a video everyday, 10 to 20 minutes. The last person I watched did that, had a large following. They quit this year, so its going to be you. That was Zeorian Harvesting, been at it since 1974. You all are new to it I see. Good to see your enthusiasm at 20 years old. My name is John E Thompson and I'm from NC Iowa. Make a video every day, I think your followers and new friends will appreciate it. Didn't catch your first name, but nice to meet you. I used to b help my dad farm and he's retired now, I'm 52 by the way. Thanks for the videos. This channel is going to explode with viewers!!! Thanks for sharing. John T.

Great video👍 Efficiency is absolutely critical. Every inch you cover costs time, fuel, wear n tear and that impacts profit. I think move videos can be interesting. You cover a massive geographical area as the season progresses so great to see where you’re going

I also watched Zeorian harvest, she had a good way of showing harvest life. You might show preparing to move, unhooking headers, loading the combine on trailer, all the support vehicles (fuel truck and service truck). You are doing a good job of showing what goes on. When went on harvest auto steer hadn't been developed so we all cut around the outside, no wheat trap that way.

Did custom harvest for a few years. Life of a gypsy for 9 months on the road chasing crops. Old timers would take a cowboy hat and throw it then make a 3' circle around it. Less than 5 grains in that circle you are good.

Good job young dude ! You present yourself well and are informative. I may be going to work for a custom harvester in the Red River valley in N.Dakota at age 67 next week. Evidently a few of the foreign help and the young guys decided against it when they found out the hours involved ? Thanks for the info ! I go back to the classic tractors of the 70's & 80's but the new ones don't scare me..

That’s a dad question but from a 3rd person view yes. Having connections with people is key to starting any business.
@charlietanner6211 Жыл бұрын
how do you find places to cut what is average acres daily
@HaydenOnHarvest Жыл бұрын
Normally you know a guy who knows a guy… having connections is key to any business. Although we do have our “normal places” we cut at that we have been cutting for them for 5+ years and they are like family to us. Average acres daily is different every single day it just depends on the cutting conditions.
