you can mix blu and yellow to make green by using off-complementary colors instead of true complementary. Off complementary colors are more or less what you see on an ryb color system which is when colors are apart by around 120⁰-150⁰ on the color wheel like a blue with hue angle of 195⁰ and yellow with hue angle of 45⁰, when you mix them you get green now creating a green as vibrant as the one she used would require using a greener blue going towards cyan and a yellow of your preference, for me I prefer warmer yellows as pure yellow (60⁰) is too greenish for me. Oh Ialmost forgot a complementary color in RGB color systems is one that's completely opposite by 180⁰ which is when you get the grayish mix with pure blue and yellow or red and cyan or magenta and green, so when pre-mixing colors in digital is safe to use colors that are 150⁰ at furthest in distance or around 120 for a balanced mix. A color gamut using triadic colors aoart by 120⁰ works wonders when all the colors you use are from that color gamut. One trick I'll share with you is pick a color you like then use its RGB values to flip them around, this allows you to create a hexagonal color gamut (6 different colors) made of two pair of triadic pairs with the same rgb values flipped around.
