This is a bit of a different one. There's a lot of clips from previously published videos, but it has its very own intro ramble, and there are some unpublished clips in there as well. I hope you enjoy, and thanks again for the idea, Doctor! Next week it's time for Buffy season 4! There are THREE parts, lol. At first I was planning to post them Monday-Wednesday-Friday in one week. But now that I need to ration my content a little more, I will be posting them Tuesday-Friday-Tuesday spanning two weeks. That will also give those of you that watch the whole entire thing some more time to get through each episode.

I think the rambles work excellent in your videos. It really helps set a calming, cozy atmosphere for the entire video (especially during the intro). The slow-paced speech accompanied with your voice is just ASMR in its best form. P.S. I've always been a huge fan of your Zoom mic whisper ramble videos :D

What a delightful video! I've got to say, rating your videos is like rating Motorhead songs in that they're all excellent. Some are just more excellent than others! With that said, the Story times with rain sounds was great! Love the hand movements and background! The Children's book was fun because it's so nice to see you laughing and smiling! The sound quality in the Tattoo tracing and thunder video was perfect! But again, all your videos are wonderful! Thank you for making them!

I hope you’re doing well.

Thank you, that's very kind. I used to do that a lot in the first years of my channel, just ramble for a whole video about nothing in particular. But I'm doing the opposite of well and have been for a long time now. So I don't ramble about daily life anymore, because that would always end up being a very, very sad and depressing video. So I never film without knowing what I'm going to talk about.

I know from your last video you said you wouldn’t be making videos like before anymore or as before, I know you said you had to just focus more on other things you had going on, but I do just want to say if anytime in the later future if you ever do chose to make a video and need an idea, the applying lip liner video would be amazing. This is just as an idea for whenever you ever do chose to upload a video. I do respect that you also have your own personal and other things to attend to. Thank you for everything though ❤️
@ASMRvelous3 жыл бұрын
I appreciate the suggestion, I'll never run out of ideas though, I have a whole book of requests that I'll probably never get to. And since I already have a relatively recent lip liner video made, it's unlikely if I get the chance to film I will choose that as the video video, sorry. Thank you for the support though!

This is an interesting idea for an upload! Sometimes I find myself rambling, too, rather than getting to my original point as quickly as perhaps I should. Some of this stems from feeling the desire to over-explain myself and giving a thorough background, because I don't want to make assumptions about how up-to-date the individual I'm speaking to is on the particular subject I am trying to address. I've seen some interesting things online about this being a common trait with those who have been diagnosed with ADHD, which might explain why I do it, as I was given a diagnosis of ADHD in the mid-90s. However, I didn't particularly take that diagnosis seriously for about two decades, primarily stemming from the fact that I was diagnosed during a period where it seemed like psychiatrists were diagnosing children all over the place with ADD and ADHD. It had also struck me as an odd diagnosis to reach after a single face-to-face meeting and, combined with being a teen who felt he was smarter than everyone else, I did not take the diagnosis seriously and even decided to stop taking the medication that had been recommended to me because it just made me feel robotic and unemotional. Which is a shame, because if I had taken it more seriously and had parents who took it more seriously, I feel like maybe my 20s would have been less marred by depression and stretches of miserable unemployment where I felt like something was wrong with me but I couldn't figure out what. Indeed, it wasn't until my 30s where I began to understand that there might have been something to that diagnosis and how to live with it, no longer burdened by feeling like I was a broken individual. It might be these rambley tendencies that draw me and others to your videos, and why some people can appreciate a good ramble more than others. All that being said, thank you for the upload and I look forward to watching it in its entirety.
@ASMRvelous3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing that background story with me. It's interesting. We'll never know, I guess. As someone who received a diagnosis around that age and did take it seriously, and had parents that took it seriously, it didn't stop me from seemingly endless depression, unemployment and feeling like a broken individual. So it's possible that was always going to be your path. Although there is no medication for my issue, so I suppose that could have had a big impact. I wish we could go back and try again. Anyway, I've actually never really stopped to think about why I cannot stop myself from doing the long introductions. I suppose I just like to hear myself talk a little too much.

Danielle, you're nothing if not self-aware 😊 👍.
@ASMRvelous3 жыл бұрын
This is very, very true, you have no idea. My friends/family and I talk about this all the time. I'm an incredibly difficult person to be around in real life, I'm ridiculously critical, demanding, high maintenance, judgmental, callous and quite mean. Yet they all still love me and want to spend time with me, and the main explanation for that is because I'm very aware of all of these things. Think of it like this, it's absolutely no problem to be around someone who is unintelligent but are aware of this. But it is horrible to spend time with someone who is unintelligent yet thinks they know everything. Like Aristotle said, knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.

Apologies often are you saying, "Go feel like a victim," and they usually do more harm than good. I'm a big fan of apologies but be careful not to over use them. Use them when you're in the wrong.
@ASMRvelous3 жыл бұрын
I think I agree with this. Definitely in the context of me apologising for my intro rambles. But generally I think it shows strength to be able to admit wrongdoing, apologise and move forward.
@mockingmoniker74433 жыл бұрын
@@ASMRvelous I agree it's an expression of strength to admit wrongdoing. Just be sure to apologize only if: 1. The other actually feels like a victim 2. The other really is a victim, other than just feeling like it. Granted, there's a thing called being polite where you apologize even if someone else was careless and bumped into you.
