Best video on the BD-5 I've seen. Back in the late 1980's I was the project manager for Coors Light Silver Bullet Jets with Bob Bishop, Dave Hoover & Tom Jones as pilots. I have a really cool poster we produced at the brewery creative department of the internal workings of the BD-5J that I can send you a copy of for your series if you like.

Thank you! I’m We spent about a year carefully editing many hours of raw footage to condense and organize it into a more useable format for BD-5 builders! Ron Paulbickie made these videos to fill in many of the gaps in the plans, and to explain many of his modifications to both of his BD-5 pushers! I'm glad you like the final results! It was a labor of love, and gave me a huge amount of insight into the construction of the BD-5! Now I actually have an airworthy BD-5J jet of my own, and I have been correcting several significant build errors that had been originally made to it. A copy of a cool BD-5J poster would be wonderful! Thanks again!

@@alexwigley6574 Wow, having a flying BD-5J is beyond cool. You can send me your contact info via my KZbin channel. I'll figure out how to make some copies.

I can't BELIEVE that I found this video! I've been a fan of the BD-5 since I first saw it as a child in the guise of the Coors jet in the early 80s. That's not what got my attention however, it was the F-100 styled plane featured in this video. I've seen it in image searches over the years but I couldn't find any information of it. I have to know please, was it purely cosmetic or was the front intake a radiator or induction intake? It doesn't help my Thunderbirds addiction to not know as much about this little plane as much as possible! Thanks for posting the video!

The "Thunderbede" nose mod was made to get weight forward for weight and balance. A Volkswagen Rabbit radiator was installed in the new nose! Ron also worked on F-100s, so the inspiration was already there!
