I am a lucky girl as I have just found a second hand copy of this book and hopefully will have it delivered tomorrow. I am looking forward to trying this new crochet technique. Keen to watch more of your videos so I am going to subscribe.

Hi Ellen, I am a great admirer and have learned crochet from your tutorials on Create TV since 2018 I was very disappointed when you didn’t continue from Season 9 I am so glad I found your KZbin channel as I missed you! Please continue with your tutorials as I am sure that you inspire many more like me 🥰 thanks

I never heard of this type of crochet, but you make it look easy. It would make a pretty, airy shawl.

I’m so excited to learn. You make it easy and fun formless. Where can I purchase the book. I got to do a table runner in olive kitchen cotton yarn. Think it’ll work with an h hook. Ooh can I be a pattern tester for you.

There is a difference between Bruges lace (bobbins) and Bruges lace (crochet)? I’ve been to Bruges and I only saw the bobbins being used and displayed for sale, nothing crocheted. I’m confused.
@EllenGormleyCrochet5 жыл бұрын
Hi! The crochet version is a variation to allow crocheters to make a Bruges style lace without the heavy bobbins of traditional lace making.

I’m working on Autumn Leaves filet crochet shawl. I’ve made the Bruges tape as directed. I can’t figure out how to start filet crochet, working triple crochets and spaces into lace. Can you help? It’s a free pattern on abc knitting.
@CraftyTash2 жыл бұрын
Don't you just do a chain stitch between each stitch and skip a stitch as you do this. This makes the gaps between the stitches they call the Filet?
