Why do you have so many clips of people racing in a DE video? Why do you call it HPDE instead of DE? Isn’t this giving people the wrong impression of how safe DEs are supposed to be and encourages people to drive beyond their ability levels, or to think this is essentially racing without the necessary safety equipment and licensing requirements? Why are there so many HPDE videos on the internet showing road rage at being held up by less experienced drivers? Shouldn’t you be on the lookout for these and be sure to ban the offenders? In a similar vein, why are there so many showing spins and crashes, even by instructors with a student in the car? The reason I ask these questions is because I club raced with the PCA after doing DEs for years and instructing at PCA DEs for 3 different regions, and I am extremely dismayed at the videos on KZbin with HPDE in the subject bar. While you may be doing all you can to assure the shiny side stays on top and nobody is ever injured, watching these videos shows there are some extremely serious safety issues happening at many HPDEs where nothing is apparently done by the flaggers and organizers. I also think you should be encouraging people to autocross to learn car control under much safer circumstances.
