Getting Kivy to work is, by far, the most frustrating thing I've had to deal with. I literally learned Kotlin, just because I got tired of trying to get Kivy to work. I don't think I've ever seen or read a guide that actually worked, including yours.

For more easy way to install kivy just type pip install kivy[full] in your virtual environment. However note that it takes time as it is installing everything.

In my Python.kv File i wanted to show a button with a Symbol, but nothing works and it seems, that the kv-file is not connected with the imported library unicodedata. Also chr and /U"20103" does not work in a kivy *.kv file and i can use it only in the python main.py. Button: text: '\N{CJK UNIFIED IDEOGRAPH-4E2D}' # This doesn't work Do you have an idea?

Hi, im new to running python programs through GIT, after installing it once, I struggled to open it again the next day without needing to reinstall the entire thing again? How would i go about easily reopening kivy and running my python scripts again?

Huh? You don't have to do anything. Just open it and run your program like you always do. You don't have to reinstall anything. cd into whatever directory is holding your python file. If you're running a virtual environment, turn it on (source virt/Scripts/activate) then run your file: python whatever.py

Install python correctly. Click the "add python to path" box when you install Python.

If you are under windows you have to allow the execution of scripts on your computer with for example "Set-executionpolicy remotesigned". Just copy this command and paste it into the terminal which you open with administrator rights. Then you can activate the viortual enviroment with this command "kivygui\Scripts\activate".

too complicated the installation procedure on a windows computer, a few months ago I did try to follow the steps your are explaining on my laptop but Pyhon got corrupted, so I had to reinstall python and fix all my Pycharm files cuz also got corrupted.on the safe side, I will experiment the intallation on my Desptop computer failry soon. thank you John for your tutorials

no, they are fundamentally different, you don't integrate tkinter with kivy.
