These men were the voices of every 90s kid. Football felt special back then. There was something different about the NFL back then that just doesn’t exist now. I Can’t quite put my finger on it, but I think the absence of John & Pat have something to do with it. As a 5 year old, I knew the entire Steelers starting 11 on both sides of the ball. My 7 year old doesn’t know one player in the NFL.

@@likearollingstone007 I am a grown up and could not agree more! I am 61, and today its just about point spreads, and yes now its gambling ( yes I gamble on the NFL by the way) **BUT years back going as far as the late 60's and thru the 80's and even the 90's there was NEVER a hint or a spoken word about gambling and or the point spread on national TV, as a matter of fact I think it was even illegal to mention that on TV back then (I could be wrong) So I agree with you, it was so much more fun when nothing was mentioned about gambling and or point spreads. NFL has changed so much and not for the better IMO, bad REFS, AND HORRIBLE CALLS, AND VERY DUMB RULES now that make the NFL and tackling look like a touch football game, LOL. **So you have one old timer here that agrees with you 100% Take it ez and Happy New Year to you and the family, Tom in NV
