"Comment vous allez ? " I've never heard that. Don't use that. "Vous allez bien ?" if it's the first time you meet someone it's awkward. If you choose to use "vous" stick to "Comment allez-vous ?"
@learnfrenchwithescargot Жыл бұрын
I show these 3 examples, as all of them are used in French. The first one "comment allez-vous ?", is very formal and polite, and yes, it should be the one to use when meeting someone for the first time. But I am surprised you never heard "comment vous allez ?", which is frequently used in French, if you want to sound less formal, for example, "comment vous allez aujourd'hui ?". And "vous allez bien ?", can be used with someone you already met, for example, I use it with my friends' parents, as I don't use "tu" with them, so I would say for example: "Vous allez bien Nicole ?". You can checked this article, not my website, it is very well explained. www.francaisavecpierre.com/comment-allez-vous/

@@learnfrenchwithescargot I was a little harsh. I'm sorry. I just wanted to point out that the first time you meet someome "bonjour, comment vous allez" seems very awkward to me. I've never heard it in the context of a first meeting. If you already know the person like a nurse to a patient "comment vous allez aujourd'hui ?". But maybe it's just me.

@Miaina77 No problem, you are right about "bonjour, comment allez-vous", when you meet someone for the first time, more formal and polite. Thanks for pointing this out, as it is difficult sometimes to record and explain everything in detail. Have a good day :-)
