Glenn Chambers (drummer) is in Melbourne, VIC, Australia with his fiancee. Gorran Kendall (who fixed Ren's guitar strap) is in Malaga, Spain at the moment, busking, and releasing new music. Romain is still in Brighton and releasing new music. Actually I don't think any members of The Big Push are originally from Brighton... Ren's from Dwyran, Wales; Romain is French; Glenn is Irish; Gorran is the only one from England but not Brighton, I think. Love your joint reactions, going to sub to Eshplume. ❤❤

Born in Bangor, raised in Anglesey, Wales throughout his childhood and teens. Went to university in Bath for a year, returned to Wales during the first part of his illness, but moved to Brighton when he was 23, and has called it home ever since. He's been in Calgary since the end of 2022 for treatment, and now he's talking about moving to Los Angeles when that is done -- unclear yet how permanent that move might be.

Nice to meet your beatboxing friend. I will check out his channel. I love hearing you guys do your thing! Yes! I am across the pond in the U.S., but would love to see a video of you two busking in the streets! Not bad singing voice either. 🤔 Perhaps there is a duet in your future? Romain “Domain!” Axisa has some amazing solo work, some of which is instrumental (check out - “75 Beats per Minute” and “Blue”) and like Ren, his LIVE stuff is phenomenal. I recommend you react to his recent live drop, “Time After Time” and be sure to read the description for context. He is a talent worthy of more attention; that is for certain. Ren also mentioned his favorite song of Romain’s is called “It All Feels Old.” Happy hunting boys. 😘

God bless you for the reactions and to all out here suffering thru chronic illness whatever it may be 🦠💚🫶🏻🕊️

When you discuss having the music in your mind and trying to bring that out in performance, Ren has said that’s what he does. In an interview with Chris Liepe (KZbin singing coach), Ren explains how he persisted and learned from KZbin vids how to improve his vocal ability. You could check it out; it’s interesting. Great reaction again. Thanks.

Since you mentioned Sesame Street, I’d suggest reacting to Fred Rogers / Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, especially his speech to the US Congress. It will bring an entirely different audience to your channel. He’s an absolute staple for most American’s childhoods. Tom Hanks played him in a very well-loved bio-pic about him.

And in my opinion, Ren has a great voice. Lots of compartments to move around to. He is one darn rubic cube of talent folks. The other 2 are very versed also. All unique though. That's what made them so amazing in the big push. Ren has a love for all genre of music.Elvis, Sting and way back old stuff my era and earlier. His voice is versatile. This all combined makes him top tier musically. It's early here in California (if I'm not explaining well. ) lol

Also loving the fact you call Romain - "Domain" hahaha his guitar skills are next level of domain! haha Loved seeing you both sharing and adding up to each other's ideas, pov's and skills!
@badm0t0rf1nger2 ай бұрын
I sometimes wish he'd just let his voice go into a natural vibrato rather than the choppy tremolo thing that he tends to do.... but then again, it does suit his overall "thing", & it's part of what makes Ren Ren, so I'll live with it! That Epiphone 335 is a fixed bridge guitar- there is no whammy bar- Romain pushes the body of the guitar towards him with his right hand & pushes the neck of the guitar away from him, as if trying to snap the neck off the guitar, in order to flex the wood in the neck to loosen the strings, to give that momentary drop in pitch he wants. I wouldn't recommend this technique to beginner guitarists unless they want to be buying a lot of guitars!! ;)
@eryksun2 ай бұрын
Based on the shape of the headstock and the vine inlay, it looks like an Epiphone Sheraton II, not an ES-335. Also, it's good to see someone who knows the difference between vocal tremolo and vibrato.
@Colleen9982 ай бұрын
@@eryksun Yes, it’s an Epiphone Emily Wolfe Sheraton Stealth.
@eryksun2 ай бұрын
@@Colleen998the Emily Wolfe Sheraton Stealth looks pretty different from Romain's guitar, which I think is a Sheraton II. It has diamond-shaped F-holes, a different headstock shape, lightning bolt fingerboard inlays instead of triangular inlays, and only 1 tone CTS pot instead of two.
@badm0t0rf1nger2 ай бұрын
@@eryksun Hey dude.... I play bass not guitar, so let me off with not knowing the difference between Epi 335 & Sheraton headstocks eh?! LOL Regarding the vocal tremolo thing, I find it strange that I've not seen any of the "vocal coach reacts" etc vids address it. Weird, given that it's a rare quirk you hardly ever hear, no?

Romain actually bent the neck to get that dip, not the tremelo bar. He pushed the guitar body into himself, while pushing the top of the neck outward, reducing the tension in the strings.

Loving these joint reactions, guys, and all the things you end up chatting about along the way. ❤ The other thing with Ren's singing is that he doesn't always have 'good' or 'proper' technique, because he didn't have the usual training. So some of the ways he achieves particular sounds are really weird for anyone who really understands vocal technique, because he's created a kind of personal patchwork of styles and approaches that wouldn't fly for classically trained vocalists.

Actually Romain did it without the whammy bar. The hand that would have done the whammy goes up and he just bends the strings.

The strums of the rythm here in the strum beat of the guitar is what im trying to explain. Its open close open.
