You will have more fun with the camera, no oil changes, no lithium batteries to explode or degrade. No replace brakes, tires, etc. But damn, it cost twice what my first car cost me new. @@vincenzodellama7158 well, there are many reasons. I'm serious about photography for 15y now and Sony just had the worst user experience for me. It became more about technology than usability. The last camera that was really a joy to shoot was the Nikon F4 for me. Now that i switched to Fuji, i finally got it back again. 98% of the people will never use modern cameras to their full potential anyway. Some of my best and most beautiful pictures were made with a Canon 1D with 8MP. More is not always better. It is not about the gear. Mirrorless was invented to make cameras more compact and lightweight. Look at them now. FF mirrorless cameras have bigger and heavier lenses than their DSLR counterparts. It doesn't really matter which brand you shoot. And better camera doesn't make you a better photographer. Simple as that.

​@@Vincetagram I am not super in tune with Sony cameras but I would say that this would be an advanced/super capable model like the 1Dx vs 5D series with Canon. Canon has a long history of limiting itself so it doesn't damage its other product lines. Sony doesn't seem to mind creating a lot more overlap in their offerings and building redundancy into their product line. I am a Canon shooter who has *almost* switched to Sony, especially with the A7III but with the R5 and future development expected, I'll be sticking with their system. I don't do enough video to be too worried about the time limit and there seem to be some options to offload the data and increase recording time.

With the new cf type A card, 10 bit and s log, with amazing AF, you don't necessarily need an external recorder if you can just set the exposure and wb right from the get go. Having a flipped out screen while on a gimbal really helps. Especially if you don't need to focus pull and can safely relie on the af. Helps to keep the load off your hands, and become more flexible with what you are capturing.

After using the Sony a7III, a7RI & a7RIV, my sweet spot is anything within 20-36MP. AF in the a7III was all I needed so any improvements they make will be a bonus. What I really want is more stops in dynamic range. I don't care for HDR but rather a high range in color and light depths pre-processing that surpasses our eyes. The a7s line attempts to do this but is stuck at 12MP & is primarily a video-centric camera. I hope this way of prioritization & design reaches Sony one day.

That 30 frames per second is for still photography. Do you need 30 shots of an object when it’s not moving? Hilarious!

@@ShokkaReacts Sony does what Nikon does. At that rate it goes to compressed Raw. That frame rate drops to 20. The same frame rate as the Canon R5. Those that own the Canon R5 will be glad they saved money.

How is the 4k not an oversampled 8.6k? Canon can do 4k HQ, which is 4k oversampled from 8K with a much lower end camera.
