Hey guys, come say hi to Dela! Also, a lot is happening with the game. I'm in talks with one of the most famous games musicians (he has agreed to do as many songs as I need for the RTS but i might need to sell a few organs first! 🤣). In addition to myself, i now frequently hire/work with two artists who have worked on big projects including Marvel and Disney. I'm working on this game everyday, and determined to make a game and tell a story that you can all get behind and enjoy! Wow. The more i see of this the more i love it. It looks like it will have multiple routes and romances based on morality which is awesome. Mouth moving animation could be smoothed up a bit but but otherwise, the more I watched, the more I was pulled in: good writing, good music, well placed sfx, and good backdrop art. Gadamn... got me excited to see where this goes and how it plays!

Yeah, thank you! The BG art here is subject to change, i'll do as much as I can, (I'll hire BG artists too!) and any generated stuff will be scoured and sanitised. Quite sad as I pay these huge AI companies and they mess it up. Yeah Aphoros is a nutter 🤣

I'm hoping this game isn't a "good choice or bad choice" kinda thing. I like to think of some as shades of grey where good choices have bad effects and bad choices have good ones as well because that's why there's so few games that even have a "bad path" because you get shit for a reward or something that you can just get over time, like money or whatever. I'm really looking forward to playing this and trying out many of the different interactions. I normally only choose one but with this i WANT to try several from what i see.

100% agree dude! No bad endings! I'm not doing that to the players, I don't want them to pour hours into the game to be like 'wtf!?' At the moment my thinking is all endings will be good, from different perspective but there will be 2 or 3 'lynch pin' endings that will open up a final ending, which opens up the ultimate one. Now i don't want people feeling they need to play through again and again, so i'll figure out a mechanism to let them pivot... but i'm totally open to ideas!

@@McMurchie A war against a fleet like that, is there even a "good" ending? The price of victory could be steep if there even is one. Reminds me of the song Is It Victory by Unlike Pluto. Can you call it a "victory" when you lose everything? That could be the "worst" ending where the MC is the only human left alive because they made a tough choice that cost them the Human race. Or everything that matters to them. Even if the end result was the destruction of the Dron Fleet as a threat, it could be a price as it already cost several races that tried before.

@@McMurchie For people who like replaying games and replayability in general, will there be any type of NG+ feature? I know we'd have to know more exactly about how the game works to know if that'd work or what you'd carry over but you presumably have an idea of how well something like that would work. Even something as small as having a NG+ where the outcomes of choices (in terms of things like affection changes) you've done before are marked or maybe social stats or certain upgrades. Me personally, though it's not a deal-breaker if there isn't, I like there to always be some sort of replay-value adding feature in games I play. (If you want people to be able to efferently access different endings, maybe a chapter-select feature of sorts would work. That way if someone wants to do a different "route" or branch of the story but don't want to replay the whole game they can just start at chapter 9 or chapter 15b or whenever the pivotal choice in question is.)

so she's not a psycho just broken from what context I can get it seems she has seen it all first hand and only barely escaped I think there should be a option to investigate and ask further questions to really see if you can actually "fix" her cause I just think doing that will make the player think more and have differant approaches to doing it with various outcomes like talking to Morrigan and asking her what her story actually is and again investigating to figure stuff out honestly I tried to see what Adam's backstory is but I just can't seem to find it unless that's the point his backstory is a huge plot twist similar to the first knights of the old republic game with Revan

From what I can see, Aphoros and I will have serious and irreconcilable disagreements on how to save the galaxy from the Dark Fleet. Exterminating anyone who doesn't ally with me is too extreme. I prefer to be a good guy. I can even be a bad guy if necessary to deal with more problematic types. But never an evil guy. But she's cute. Sad.

I must admit while the idea of the fleet being some purely mechanical great filter deal was already interesting, the fact they seem to be some sort of abominations (and they have physical forms based on what she says) has me intrigued and concerned. She seems to know a lot about them and their processes, how they operate, almost as if she's seen them in person. I'm also curious what she means by implying that souls are real and can be extracted. She phrases it as this extra-permanent thing but humans already can't come back from being dead. Maybe her race works differently, but it's not super clear to me what she meant with that how explanation. Then again, that's if anything she said is true. She says you're being kept in the dark but she could just be, y'know, lying to get what she wants. Like a psychopath does. Also conveniently while at least one of the people who could verify/refute what she's saying isn't around.

Good question, I haven't fully decided yet- but open to suggestions. Maybe you date her and have to accept she is evil...

I like the idea of having to take the morally questionable route to romance her. Maybe there is a morality meter based on decisions you make throughout the game and by having it be high or low would put certain characters out of reach to romance. I feel like that would add real weight to choices made and keep each character true to their beliefs. Like, choosing things like using the anti life weapons would put you lower on the meter and someone like Fel would be out of reach but not necessarily someone like morrigan who feels maybe a little closer to neutral and it would put aphoros in the romancing range since she would see you as someone similar to her thinking.
