Very impressive work. I have a complete 6500 system, and this is an absolute "must have"! Does it replace the Beomaster 6500? Doesn't look that way in the video. If not, what does the Beomaster 6500 "believe" the Beomoderne to be? A Beocord tape recorder? Are you planning to make more than just one for yourself? ;-D Regards, Peter Hansen

Thanks Peter, It does work well with Beosystem 6500/7000 well. In fact it will work with any B&O product with Datalink capabilities. It does not replace Beomaster. Beomaster is still at the hart of the system as intended originally. It utilize well hidden functionality that Datalink provides. In that system B&O planned for 5 unique devices that are available under "Aux" input. In essence system allows you to have 5 unique aux devices. BeoModern intercepts commands to all those 5 aux devices and each of them is basically different personality of the box (player, DAB radio, iRadio, etc..). Well, it was one-off type project. To make real product out of it would take a bit of effort I think. All information about this project are shared on github though. I can help with some advice if needed.
