Zero is a mindblowing invention. I never thought of it like an "engineered egg" until recently. Perfectly designed to keep our favorite rules of associativity, commutativity, etc. intact.

@@dananajj Sorry, I was going off closed captions (I don't have to use closed captions, but I prefer them.) The closed captions did not have an article at all, so I assumed that it would be "an" because "universal" starts out with a vowel sound. So, sorry about that. I just researched it, and you were correct with "a" for starting "universal." Thanks for showing me that!

I believe 10th, 11th and 12th grade, based on what I've seen from the Australian curriculum. Edit: For this particular video, at 10:44, he addresses the class as Year 12.

@@Memes_uploader We should not be hasty in making the assumption that they do not know the formula. Eddie obviously knows that they, as Year 12 students, know the answer. He is trying to engage them in the lesson.

@@kiankyars I'm sure someone who's recently studied set theory can confirm if I'm correct or not. In set theory a plus after the letter means only the positive values of the set. N is the counting number (0,1,2,3...) N+ is pretty much the same except it doesn't include 0. Some text books don't use N+ but instead use W (for whole numbers).

Not sure if girard identity is right on the equation. If sum is -2 and product is -4 the equation should be x^2+2x-4 Sum is -b/a Product is c/a

@@manujsinghwallol look at the history of the number 0 people thought about it apparently way before the Indians I don't think the Indians "invented" 0 like nobody before thought about it before them rather it looks like to me they just brought the idea of it we know today that it's a number which represents nothing 🤷‍♂️
