Introducing Hegel's Lectures on Logic

An outstanding summary of the true importance behind Hegel's Science of Logic. I have read both the greater and lesser logic but not his compiled lectures on logic. Yes, it is unfortunate he did not get to complete his revision of all three books. Part 1, Being, is simply amazing. Within his triadic system of Logic, Nature, Spirit... it is critical to really begin his system from the purist development of his logic intrinsically linked to the core of absolute Idealism before preceding. Despite his untimely death and inability to completely recuse SL, without question, it is absolutely my favorite philosophical text in existence.

It's true what you say about beginning; the best way to start reading Hegel is the "Phänomenologie des Geistes"...also systematically

Dear Sir, Thank you for your very interesting, useful and elegant discussion about the historical background and the importance of Hegel’s Lectures on Logic and the importance of Hegel’s speculative logic for that matter. I would love to see you provide us with your understanding of Hegel’s speculative dialectical logic in a future episode. There is an impression out there by some people that even Karl Marx did not fully understand or rather he misunderstood the speculative nature of Hegel’s logic and therefore Marx’s dialectic is a diversion and a deviation from the original Hegel’s logic. Thank you

Did you avoid explaining anything about Hegel’s system of logic because you don’t understand any of it? You were right when you said it was “a relic” because that’s all it is.
