With the increasing number of aquarium devices that include controller boxes, long wires and power blocks, cable management is an ever growing headache. Most of us end up with a rats nest of cables as new equipment is added.
The Hex Controller boards is here to change that, and bring order to reefing chaos, offering a neat & easy way to tidy up and streamline aquarium cable and controller management.
The product is designed and manufactured here in the UK by Xodis, a distributor (and now manufacturer) of some of our most premium aquatics brands, Ecotech and Nyos being two. This means that the product has been designed and created by hobbyists, who have lots of collective reefing experience and expertise. A group of people who understand the struggles and frustrations that cabinet power solutions often bring.

I've just bought my first reef tank (560L) and currently cleaning/setting it up. So much more kit than a freshwater tank! I imagine this would be awesome to start with before I fill with water! I want, I want, I want!!! 😎

My cabinet is tiny and I haven’t organised it well at all so all my cables & power bricks are at the side of my sump. There isn’t enough space behind my cabinet to push the bricks behind so at the moment it’s just like a big birds nest. Would love this so I can tidy everything up, it’ll finish the inside of my cabinet off & then I can move on to dosing with a pump instead of manually at the moment.

My cat got into my sump cabinet and managed to tangle himself up so much he pulled equipment all over the place trying to extricate himself! Luckily we heard him in time and nothing was switched off/pulled out. This would help very very much as my diy skills are a bit lacking! lol

THe back of my aquarium is a nightmare! Every time I want to turn something off I have to trace the cable back by gently pulling on it to see where it leads (no pun intended) and then work my way back to the plug all whilst balancing on one foot to avoid standing on power bricks, Vortech controllers, UV lights and all the other stuff that I'm too lazy to properly tidy! Seriously need something like this to get my house in order

I’ve got more wires in my cabinet than BT use in there broadband and with the help of my crawling 14month daughter there constantly being pulled and switched off so this would drastically save my reef

I called up my landline provider and asked if a BT telecom engineer could help sort my snake pit of cables. Safe to say that even they can't help me untangle this mess. 🙄
