Albeit brief, a lovely colourful video. Beautiful buildings and I'm very impressed Ivan that you speak English so well.

Ivan is the greatest Russian talent since Yevgeny Kissin. He combines superb technique with a deep inner sense of musicality that one can only be born with.

Artur Rubinstein called it a "6th sense" in the March 1957 issue of Wisdom Magazine. The next Tchaikovsky Competition will be in June 2019. I believe Ivan could win with a dazzling heartfelt performance of Rachmaninoffs 2nd Piano Concerto.

@@789armstrong He is directly aligned to Music at the source as first creation. He will be to Music what Rudolf Nureyev was to Ballet. He will change the "face" of piano playing the world over, and there will never be another pianist to equal him. His is such a gift, and it is one from God.

I thoroughly agree. Both Daniel Kharitonov and Alexander Malofeev were also born with the gift of music, but one characteristic that makes Ivan so special is he plays from the heart. No intellectualism here. I am certain Alexander will play the Rach 3 and Tchaikovsky 1 during the next Tchaikovsky Competition in June 2019, but I believe Ivans Rach 2 would be at least equal to Yevgeny Kissins historic account when he was only 16.

@@789armstrong Absolutely. There is no affectation with Ivan that could possibly muddy the waters of his sound. It is a lucid in delivery as it is transparent. It is angelic in quality and of a standard I have come to hold most sacred. After a lifetime steeped in Music as a composer, and now at now 60 years of age, this boy has changed my life. Who would have thought it, from one so young! Of course, as it must be said, musicians never stop learning, and where Music itself has been my greatest of teachers, through Ivan's playing, is now imparted to me whatever there is left for me to learn, and I am so grateful to bear witness to the beauty of it. Blessings!

When I saw Ivan play Chopin's Ballade #1 in G minor I new he is a keyboard giant. The main reason I would love to see him play the Rachmaninoff 2nd Concerto at the next Tchaikovsky Competition is so that medici tv would have the video on record for the world to see. In 2015 Lucas Debarque was clearly the best pianist, yet he didn't win, but thanks to the videos that surfaced, the world soon realized he was a great artist and today he has made more recordings than any of the winners.
